Cabin on Åsen

Small cabin with charm on Øståsen in Vikersund. 40 min walk uphill from the parking lot. Here you can experience a simple life without electricity and water. The way up is a nice walk, a bit heavy in some parts. Recommended to go up before it gets dark. Remember to bring good shoes and warm clothes. At the top awaits the prize, flat and nice with beautiful views :) Bunk bed in the kitchen, sofa bed in the living room. Remember sleeping bag + pillowcase, sheets are in the cabin. *Road toll NOK 50 *Remember drinking water! Dishwashing water is available at the cabin *Kitchenette/portable *Outdoor toilet The space The cabin is located on top of Åsen overlooking Vikersund. On a sunny day you will be able to see Gaustadtoppen in the distance. On the way up to the cabin you drive past the world's largest ski jumping hill. Other things to note There are many marked trails on Øståsen and in winter there are ski slopes on large parts of Åsen. Here there are opportunities for great nature experiences in summer and winter. Øståsen is located 600 m above sea level and the forest is more glistening and open than many other parts of Finnemarka. Therefore, there is nice hiking terrain with great views of white peaks in the distance. About 2 km from the cabin is Hovlandsvarden. This is a lookout tower with amazing views for those who dare to go up;)
