Sunset Star Cabin is an inviting 2 bed (king beds)/2 bath retreat with high-speed WiFi-offering a private, secluded feel & stunning mountain views that glow at sunset. Relax in the hot tub, unwind on the large back deck, gather around the outdoor fire pit, or snuggle up by gas fireplace. Peaceful, serene, & tucked away; perfect for a romantic getaway or relaxing family-friendly retreat in Blue Ridge. OUTDOOR SETTING: Car charger outlet is at front of cabin. Fire pit with Adirondack chairs at side/front of cabin. Back deck offers a chair hammock, sun lounger and dining set, and large rocking chairs. Lower deck contains new 2025 Aspen Pioneer hot tub. KITCHEN: Well stocked for cooking! Electric stove, large fridge, microwave, dishwasher, dish ware & flatware, salad spinner, large selection of pots and pans, drip coffee maker and one cup coffee maker, coffee/cream/sugar, olive oil, spices, salt and pepper. GENERAL: Free high speed WiFi, washer/dryer, towels/linens, shampoo & soap, central heating & air conditioning. ACCESSIBILITY: One story cabin, with only 3 steps to enter. Hot tub located on lower back deck. PARKING: Driveway is paved, but steep, with room to comfortably park two cars. We recommend turning around once at the top of the driveway so you don't have to back down. GETTING THERE AND SURROUNDINGS: Navigation will get you to Sunset Star on entirely paved roads and you will pass many other cabins along the beautiful mountain roadway. The road up is paved but narrow, so please be mindful of oncoming traffic. The cabin itself is very privately located, at the top of a steep driveway, with beautiful mountain views! Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property via keyless entry. Guest access Check-in is 4:00 pm and lock code activates at that time. Registration Details: LIC #005074 Other things to note - No smoking or vaping on premises. - No pets allowed. - No events, parties, or large gatherings. - Must be at least 25 years old to book. - 4 person maximum occupancy. - 1 security camera at front of cabin. - Property is located in the woods so you may see/hear wildlife outside the cabin. Trash must be left inside the cabin or placed into the bear proof black box outside, with latch secured. Do not leave food inside vehicles where bears could detect. - The 7 Principles of Leave No Trace provide a framework for minimizing human impact on nature, promoting conservation, and protecting the outdoors. The core principles are to plan ahead, travel/camp on durable surfaces, dispose of waste properly, leave what you find, minimize campfire impact, respect wildlife, and be considerate of others. - Fire safety is a big deal in the mountains. Please check and follow any local firewood rules or outdoor burn bans during your stay, as restrictions can change depending on conditions. - Cabin is surrounded by beautiful woods. Rural, wooded properties can be used in season for hunting as well as target practice (which you may hear during your stay but is a normal part of county life). - We don’t offer refunds for bad weather or natural disasters. - We can’t control when power outages may occur due to storms, fallen trees, etc. but will make every effort to communicate with guests about expected restoration. - This is a 1 story cabin. There are 3 steps to enter the front door of the cabin. Only the hot tub is located down the back steps. We do not offer grab bars in the bathrooms. Surroundings: The cabin is located in Cherry Log GA. Navigation will route you to the cabin entirely on paved roads, but please be mindful of the winding road and oncoming traffic. The driveway is also paved, but steep. If you are uncomfortable with a steep driveway, this may not be a good fit for your group. We recommend turning around once at the top of the driveway so that you don't have to back down the driveway to leave, which can be tricky. There is available parking for 2 vehicles.
