Spacious room near Warwick University
Spacious room near Warwick University
Description
Ideal for University Professors, Guest Lecturers, or Visiting PhD Researchers, this welcoming space offers a convenient base during the academic year. Our home is peaceful and welcoming — a place where our previous guests have enjoyed working undisturbed from the comfort of their room. Located just a 5-minute drive or 7-minute cycle from the University of Warwick, and only a 9-minute drive or 14-minute cycle from Coventry University, it's perfectly situated for academics at either institution. The space Our house is located in the heart of Canley area with direct access to A45, where you can head straight from it to Coventry City Centre, Warwick University, Kenilworth, Leamington Spa, Birmingham, Solihull or Leicester. It is a 3 story detached house. *On the ground floor, you can access the kitchen and the garden. *On the first floor, you can access your room and shared bathroom. There is another guest room on the same floor, as well as the office room of both my husband and me. This room is sometimes occupied by another Airbnb guest or a family guest. *The second floor is where my husband and I sleep and has our personal bathroom. Please note, it is a restricted area. How to get around? You can take 12X bus or 86 to Coventry City Centre from the station down the road (less than 5 mins walk), most of them come every 10 mins or so. The city centre has amicable restaurants offering array of cuisines. Our favourites are Cosy Club, Turmeric Gold, Torres and Steakout, if you fancy a steak with a twist. We also love the Asian corner, right across the transport museum. For Brunch options, we prefer Cafe Locco in Cheylesmore and Bagel Brunch in the City Centre. The Vault is also nice, but not our top spot There are few fancier restaurants in Coventry: H2O Palm, Entree and the Farm House. They are nice but too pricey. You also go there for the Insta pictures and the vibe more than the food. You can also take X17 to Earlsdon and walk in the high street, where there are nice local shops and very palate appetizing restaurants. We love Anatolia and Afrikanna, although you need to have a tolerance for a kick with Afrikanna. You can also take X17 to Warwick Castle. Similarly, you can take bus no. 11 from centenary road station going straight to Leamington. Or, you can take 12X going to Warwick University, and change to bus U2 from the University Interchange station (last stop for 12X). Our all times favourite in Leamington is Giggling Squid and an ice cream place on the main street. For basic stuff, We are less than 15 minutes walk from Cannon Park Shopping centre, where there is a massive Aldi and a TESCO Superstore. There is also a small boots there. If you prefer much shorter walk, there is an Asda express about 3 minutes walk, that is open till late. There is also a pharmacy 5 mins walk to the other side, open till 9:00 PM Guest access Kitchen
