The space 🌳 Why Not Woodland Escape is a modern treetop home intended for people who love being outside in nature but don’t want to sacrifice comfort or style. Perched on 10½ private acres, the house was intentionally designed to blur the lines between indoors and out. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the ridgeline and treetops, and nearly every space connects you back to the woods. STEP OUTSIDE from the chef's kitchen, and you’ll find a SCREENED OUTDOOR LIVING ROOM with ridgeline views and a perfect curl-up-with-a-book sofa. There's also a TV and a convenient pass-through window to the kitchen. The stairs from the outdoor living room lead down to the OUTDOOR COVERED KITCHEN, which features a large grill with a side burner, sink, prep space, fridge, and seating for six. Guests love adding fresh-picked herbs from the HERB GARDEN (steps away from the outdoor kitchen) to their dishes and cocktails. Grab the S'more sticks and relax around the large FIRE PIT with comfortable Adirondack chairs and a swing. Step through the large master bedroom sliding door to the HOT TUB AND OUTDOOR SHOWER DECK, complete with a relaxing double chaise to soak in the peace, beauty, and quiet. The nearly ½-mile PRIVATE CREEKSIDE TRAIL winds through the woods and is just steps from the front door. Dogs give it 5 stars! INSIDE, the home is warm, modern, uncluttered, but thoughtfully equipped. The CHEF'S KITCHEN is fully stocked with sharp knives, spices, oil, and plenty of cookware and prep space for whatever you dream up. There’s a BUILT-IN BAR with bar and glassware to craft your curated cocktails. You also have a dedicated workspace with FIBER INTERNET, a GAME ROOM (Winmau dart board, ping-pong, and Twister), and a GYM with weights, mats, bench, pull-up bar, and more. 🛏 BEDROOMS & SLEEP Restorative sleep comes easy with quality mattresses and 100% cotton percale sheets. She’s like Little Red Riding Hood and literally leaves the basket of yummies on the doorstep. "The owner, Kelly, hooked us up with Mollie, who delivered freshly-made sourdough bread, farm-fresh eggs, and homemade cinnamon rolls straight to us. Other things to note -- EVERYONE is welcome and celebrated at Why Not! And some housekeeping: -- We have a septic system, a well, and a water filtration system. You help keep them clean, flowing, and problem-free when you: + ONLY flush the 1-ply paper provided. I like deluxe toilet paper, too, but our septic doesn't, and she rules the house. + ONLY put toilet paper in the toilet and put EVERYTHING ELSE in the basket + Shower off lotions and oils before getting into the hot tub + Put all grease and food waste in the basket (no garbage disposal) -- No parties or events -- Six guests MAX -- No smoking of any kind inside -- DOGS: Up to two well-behaved and house-trained pups are welcome (there is a $89 pet fee per stay.
