Tucked away on the historic grounds of Barrow Castle, this charming cabin offers the perfect countryside retreat. Peaceful and serene, it’s the ideal escape for those who want to slow down, switch off, and soak up nature with the buzz of Bath City Centre just a short drive away. It is the best of both worlds. This is an unplugged retreat with no TV or Wi-Fi so you can switch off and reset. The space Tucked away in the gardens of Barrow Castle, this cosy cabin offers a peaceful escape surrounded by trees and wildlife. From the terrace, you can enjoy stunning views and the soothing sounds of nature. The Cabin is set within a garden, so you may spot the occasional curious spider, a natural part of the surroundings. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable double bed, a vintage desk perfect for writing or working, a dining table that extends for meals, and a simply equipped kitchen where you can cook and unwind. This is an unplugged retreat with no TV or Wi-Fi, allowing you to truly switch off and reset. A Bluetooth speaker is provided so you can play music, there is a curated playlist for a relaxing atmosphere. The bathroom includes a heated shower, with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner provided for your convenience. Help yourself to tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and a few treats, or curl up with one of the books and board games for a cosy evening in. Guest access The Cabin is nestled within the beautiful Barrow Castle Gardens. Guests can park at our property, and we will guide you on the short, scenic walk across the Castle grounds to the Cabin. The route includes a garden pathway and some grassy areas, so suitable footwear is recommended, especially as the path may be slippery in wet weather. The walkway is softly lit but we provide torches for your stay for the small part that is not. Other things to note The cabin itself is completely private to you. It is possible during weekdays you'll spot a gardener at work in the orchard in front of the Cabin - though they are more likely to be in the walled garden (which you are welcome to visit!) attending to the fruit and veg. You may also spot the occasional guinea fowl, squirrel, rabbits, or possibly even deer!
