Description
Quinte Cottage offers a warm, inviting space where you can unwind and feel right at home. The space Quinte Cottage is in a prime location just steps from the north shore of the Bay of Quinte, near the western gateway to Prince Edward County and the southern gateway to the Trent Severn waterway. Southern exposure means gorgeous sunrises, starry nights and moon views. Catch the sunset from the backyard. Featuring three bedrooms (2 twin XL, 2 twin XL, 1 king), one full bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen, the Cottage is your home away from home for your Prince Edward County adventure. Enjoy close proximity to renowned wineries, breweries, art studios, fine dining, boutique shopping, beaches, museums, three provincial parks and more. Step outside to the Millennium Trail for hiking, biking, walking, and endless outdoor adventures. After a day of adventuring, relax on the porch and enjoy the tranquility and calm of the Bay of Quinte. Hear a loud thundering noise? Look up! It's the Royal Canadian Air Force doing training runs out of CFB Trenton. If the weather isn’t cooperating during your visit, we have some rainy day activities available, plus recommendations for local indoor attractions. Note: We do not have a dock and Quinte Cottage is not a swimming-friendly property. Guest access Self-check in with your own personal door code. Access codes will be sent the morning of your arrival. Single level layout, but stairs from the driveway to the front door, and from the porch down to the lawn. Guests have access to the full property except the basement, two locked closets and the laundry room (available for stays of 5 or more days). Parking for two vehicles directly in front of the Cottage. Additional vehicle parking available along the shared driveway. Other things to note Check in time is 3:00 pm. Check out time is 11:00 am. Quiet hours are between 11:00 pm and 9:00 am. The Bay of Quinte is ideal for canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding. We do not provide any watercraft, but you are welcome to bring your own. Life jackets are strongly recommended. There are boat launches nearby if you want to launch a boat for the day. Note the water in front of the Cottage is shallow (not ideal for swimming) and we do not have dock access. Water activities are at your own risk. No outdoor fire pit. The Cottage is a country, waterfront property so there is plenty of wildlife to observe. Spiders and other bugs are around - we recommend bug spray depending on the season! Children must be supervised at all times, especially outside. Age requirement of 25 years or older to book. No unregistered guests. Minimum stay of two nights, three night minimum for long weekends. We provide three rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels to get you started. If you need more during your stay or run out, please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies yourself. Laundry room available for bookings over 5 days - please ask for details. Central heating and air conditioning, with ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Pet-free property. Prohibited activities include smoking of any kind, the use of illegal substances, fireworks and campfires. We have a shared driveway, parking in designated areas only. We have a smart TV equipped with streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. We recommend casting from your smartphone onto the TV, if possible, or signing into the app directly on the television. In some circumstances, certain streaming services may not allow you to cast onto another device when away from home. To avoid this issue, you can bring your own streaming device, such as an Amazon Firestick or Google Chromecast, and plug it directly into the television. We’ve left an HDMI cable to allow for easy connection. While we are a pet-free home, some of our neighbours have pets, and sometimes they wander onto our property. Next door, there are two dogs. They usually stay on their property, but if they wander over, feel free to tell them to go home. Two very friendly, vaccinated orange cats, Archie (short-haired) and Marmalade (long-haired), may stop by outside. If you're not a fan of cats, they’re easy to shoo away! Please make sure they don't sneak into the house!
