The Kabin

Submerse yourself in nature while still being in the complete comfort of modern luxuries in this off grid forest cabin that offers something for everyone! Spend your days admiring nature around you from the comforts of inside or head out to the surrounding forest where trails and a beautiful meadow area welcome you. Cozy up by the wood burning fireplace or head outside to the fire pit under stars. Indoor games or outdoor adventures, you pick! Either way you’re bound to see some wildlife! The space We try to keep your packing light by providing you with all of your basic needs and more! Wood for the indoor fireplace and outdoor pit, bedding/pillows, towels, cutlery, cooking/bbq utensils, spices, oil, dish/hand soap, keurig coffee, tea, and non caffeine options, coffee mate and sugar, toilet paper. Please note that toiletries are not provided. The Kabin is complete with a main level kitchen that includes sink, fridge/freezer, a flat top grill, electric hot plate, and Keurig coffee machine, washroom complete with a full shower, and living room space with a queen sized pull out couch, tv, wood burning fireplace, and many board games. Upstairs has a loft lounge area with a double sized sofa bed, a workstation area with desk and chair, and bedroom space with a double bed and nightstands with storage. Outside provides a patio deck with bbq and side burner, a firepit with muskoka chairs, and a picnic table for outdoor eating. Located in a central area close to many towns, there is so much to do and see; local wineries & brewers, lavender farms & farmers markets, beaches, hiking, biking and so much more! We are.. 10 minutes to Waterford, the Waterford Heritage Trails & beautiful Black Bridge, Wishbone Brewery, Waterford Antique Market, Meuse Brewery & Market, Apple Hill Lavender Farm & Raging Bowl Pottery, New Limburg Brewery & Creekside Growers Dahlia Farm, Berkelbloem Tulip Farm, Delhi & Rambling Road Brewery Farm, Bonnieheath Estate Lavender and Winery, Simcoe (closest large town), Sayza Hot Yoga, many restaurants and fast food options 20 minutes to beach side towns! Port Dover, the famous Arbor, Dover Cheese Shop, Friskey Beaver-Smoke & Gamble Winery, so much more; Turkey Point, marina, Longpoint Eco Adventures, Hometown Brewery, Charlotteville Brewing Company, The Barntique artisanal handmade market, Burning Kiln Winery, Inasphere Winery & Farm Market DISCLAIMER: As mentioned, The Kabin is completely off grid - this means that overconsumption of energy during your stay can lead to the solar power and back up batteries being fully drained, leaving The Kabin without power. It is not backed up by the grid. In this event, a generator can be used to charge the batteries at an extra charge to cover the use and fuel, and we will not be held accountable. The Kabin has two times the suggested battery back up for its size, so long as you are mindful during your stay you should have no issues. There is another cabin on the property that shares the access laneway from the road, as well as the trails through the woods. This is not within close proximity or visibility from The Kabin however. Guest access During wet and winter seasons, 4x4 or AWD is highly advisable as The Kabin sits 400 meters off of the road and into the woods using the dirt farm pathway. Other things to note Extra guests past 2 requires an additional fee of $40/person/night up to a maximum of 6 guests. This fee goes towards extra cleaning, bedding/laundry, dishes, and supplies. This will automatically be applied to your reservation if the correct amount of guests are added. We are a pet friendly stay! Up to 2 pets are allowed to join you for your stay at an additional fee of $30/pet for your stay. This fee goes towards extra cleaning. This is also automatically applied to your reservation when you add your pets as guests.
