Charming Veslestua

Welcome to Veslestua – a unique gem by Hemnessjøen in Aurskog-Høland! Here you can experience idyllic nature, fishing and swimming, forest walks, elk safari and bird watching. Veslestua is a cozy and historic building that gives you a real sense of life in the countryside. Please note that Veslestua has electricity, but no running water. Drinking water is available in containers and bottles. The toilet is a Cinderella incineration toilet. The space Welcome to Veslestua – a charming and historic cabin in Aurskog-Høland! This is the place for those who want to relax in scenic surroundings, just 55 minutes from Oslo and 60 minutes from Gardermoen. Veslestua is a small gem with roots back to the 1800s, originally used as a general store. Now it is restored and arranged for guests who want a simple, cozy and authentic cabin experience. The cabin has electricity, but no running water – drinking water is available in containers, and the toilet is a modern Cinderella incineration toilet. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed, bookshelf and washbasin. In the living room there is a sofa, armchairs and a dining room. The sofa is a sofa bed and can be pulled out with room for two, there are board games. Kitchen and entrance, with exit to a large lawn with outdoor furniture and barbecue. The property is about 200 meters from the lake Hemnessjøen, here you as a guest have access to a beach and jetty, with opportunities for swimming or boating. With us you can borrow canoe, rowboat and SUP boards – perfect for long summer days. We also have our own Gapahuk and marked hiking trails are nearby. More about this can be found in the brochure in the cabin. Veslestua is also a historic building with soul and character. You live in the middle of a small courtyard with a pantry and views of the fields and the forest – and with a short distance to both the convenience store and the sights. Note that Veslestua is located near the main road. Welcome to a stay at Veslestua – a small time travel with modern comfort. Guest access At Veslestua, guests will have access to the entire property on that side of the road. There is a large lawn with garden furniture and a barbecue outside. A storage room with some extra supplies if needed. You also have access to the beach and the jetty. If you'd like to borrow a rowboat, paddleboard and canoe, you are welcome to do so if available.
