Description
Escape to the Northwoods! Under two hours from the Twin Cities, the cabin sits on the beautiful north shore of Devils Lake in Webster, WI. This crystal-clear lake is famous for its excellent fishing in winter and summer! The cabin is located near unique shops, restaurants, bars, golf and a Casino. Whether you want to unwind & relax by the water, cast a line for walleye, panfish, or explore nearby UTV&snowmobile trails or just relax on the deck and take in the views this is the cabin for you! The space This lakefront cabin, The SlipperyAngler, is designed with comfort in mind. • BEDROOMS: 3 total - one king, one queen, & one full-over-full bunk bed. Everyone will sleep well on new comfortable mattresses with new cotton bedding from California Design Den. Each room is equipped with fans or heaters depending on the season, & extra blankets are always on hand for chilly nights. • BATHROOM: One bathroom with a stand-up shower. • LIVING AREA: A 70-inch smart TV with WiFi. Log into your own streaming accounts or some free apps are available. • KITCHEN: Fully stocked with a gas stove, cookware, & essentials for prepping meals. While there is no dishwasher, we provide supplies for easy clean-up and encourage guests to wash as they go. Outside, you’ll find a Ninja XL wood-fire grill, which also works as a smoker and air fryer—perfect for outdoor cooking. Ground Coffee, K-cups and tea are also provided. • CLIMATE & COMFORT: A window A/C unit is located in the living room & cools the cabin with the help of a ceiling fan & bedroom fans. A cozy gas fireplace & portable headers keep things warm in the cooler months. Please note: The cabin & bedrooms are cozy in size, so packing light is recommended for longer stays. Guest access While the cabin, deck, and dock are yours to enjoy privately, the property is part of an association community. That means the surrounding grounds and shared amenities may be used by other cabin owners and their guests as well. • CABIN: Full access with a smart WiFi lock for easy entry. One closet, one cabinet, & the utility closet are locked for owner/cleaner use only. • ASSOCIATION GROUNDS: Shared amenities include picnic tables & fish-cleaning house (less than a minute walk from the cabin). Anyone that uses the fish house is responsible to fully clean it after each use & properly dispose of the garbage. • FISH FRYING: When possible, please fry fish outdoors. If you are looking to catch and eat fish and then take some home after, you’ve found the right place! • DOCK & LAKE: Our private dock is available during the summer months. Please use only our dock - neighboring docks are private. Bring your boat or use our kayaks & lily pad . For safety, we require that all children wear life jackets when on or near the dock, and ask that all boaters and fishermen follow DNR, state, and local laws and regulations. Other things to note CABIN CHARM: Our cabin is filled with family touches—like my wife’s grandfather’s lanterns and my grandmother’s hope chest, and several hand made items from other family members that make it truly special. We hope you enjoy the cozy charm they bring and kindly ask that you treat these items with care. • NEIGHBORS: While we don’t live next door, we are very often less than 10 miles away, we know you’ll find the area full of friendly folks. If you run into our neighbors, give them a wave—they’re wonderful. Everyone values their privacy, so we ask that you only use our dock and respect neighboring properties. While other owners and guests in the association may light off fireworks, we do not allow fireworks or loud music at the cabin. Please remember some of our neighbors are close by, and sound carries easily across the lake. • ACCESSIBILITY ALERT: Unfortunately, we’re not a handicapped friendly cabin due to some steps and door ways that aren’t wide enough for wheelchairs. There are steps to enter the cabin, as well as steps between the kitchen and bathroom. Outdoor footing can be uneven, and the steps to the dock are not perfect. Please watch your step while exploring. • KIDDO DISCLAIMER: Families are welcome, but this isn’t a baby-proofed space. We’ve got stairs, deck with a cable railing, uneven ground, a fire pit, and of course the lake and dock. Children must be supervised at all times, and all kids on or near the dock must wear life jackets. Safety first, fun always! • PETS: We adore dogs and know many guests do too! Service animals are always welcome. For pets, we allow dogs under 20 lbs. Have a well-trained pup that’s a little bigger? Reach out—we may be able to make an exception. • WELL WATER: Our well works great and we also have a reverse osmosis water filtration system in the kitchen. • KEEPING COOL (OR COZY): No central air, but we’ve got a window A/C unit in the living room that keeps things comfortable up front, plus tower fans in every bedroom. Nighttime breezes off the lake are wonderfully refreshing. In the cooler months, the propane fireplace keeps the cabin cozy, with space heaters and extra blankets available in each bedroom. • WI-FI & ENTERTAINMENT: Whether you're working remotely or catching the Vikings vs. Packers game, we've got you covered with fast WiFi (40 Mbps) and a 70" smart TV in the living room. Log into your favorite streaming services or enjoy free content via Pluto TV. Just don’t forget to sign out before you check out! • SMILE, YOU’RE ON CAMERA: For safety, we have two outdoor motion-activated cameras. One near the front door and the other at the main parking area. By booking, you acknowledge and accept these cameras. There are NO cameras inside the cabin. • POWER OUTAGES HAPPEN: This is lake life! Power occasionally goes out but usually comes back quickly. Each bedroom has battery-operated lanterns, and we’ll share the local electric company’s contact info for peace of mind. • NATURE’S WILD PARTY: You’re in the Northwoods—expect to see wildlife and critters! While we do our VERY best to keep pests out, bugs and the occasional unwanted visitor may appear. You’ll also likely spot deer, loons, eagles, turkeys, rabbits and squirrels. At night, listen for owls or catch the glow of fireflies. • LOCAL FLAVOR: The Webster/Danbury area is laid-back and fun, with great food at affordable prices. Many local watering holes host “Shake of the Day” dice games, trivia, live music and classic Northwoods meat raffles. Don’t miss out on the local charm! • BOOKING: We know we provided a lot of information, but our goal is to be upfront so you know exactly what to expect. Clear rules and disclaimers help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable stay. By booking, you acknowledge that you have thoroughly read, understand, and agree to follow our house rules.
