Tucked away on one of Woodbridge’s most charming historic streets, Deben Cottage is a cosy Suffolk hideaway in the conservation area - just moments from independent shops, cafés, pubs, and riverside walks, yet wonderfully quiet and secluded. As the weather warms up, it’s the perfect base for slow mornings in the garden, sunny days exploring the Suffolk coast, and relaxed evenings with the BBQ on after a day out. This Grade II listed 1800s cottage is full of charm and original features. It’s not a modern apartment, but a cosy Suffolk home with real character - including slightly uneven floors and quirky features typical of a property of this age. If you enjoy places with history and personality, you’ll feel right at home. Inside the cottage: Set up for a relaxed and comfortable stay. Unwind on the sofa with Netflix, enjoy lazy mornings as natural light fills the bedroom, or open the garden doors and enjoy the fresh Suffolk air with a coffee in hand. Who it’s perfect for: Ideal for couples, solo travellers, remote workers, and small families. There’s a dedicated workspace, high chair, and travel cot (85 × 45 cm). Everyone is welcome here 🌈 Please note - stairs: The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs, accessed via a steep, narrow staircase typical of cottages of this age. It may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or very young children. Private garden: A fully enclosed sun-trap garden with outdoor seating and a gas BBQ - ideal for summer lunches, evening drinks, or relaxed alfresco dinners. It’s also a lovely secure space for dogs to unwind after riverside walks. Blankets are provided for cooler evenings outdoors. Kitchen: Compact but well-equipped for simple meals - perfect for cooking with local produce or enjoying treats picked up from Woodbridge’s excellent independent shops, bakeries, and deli cafés. Deben Cottage offers a calm, cosy base to explore Woodbridge and the Suffolk coast - designed for slowing down, switching off, and enjoying the best of Suffolk at any time of year. Guest access Guests have full private access to the entire cottage, including the enclosed garden and BBQ. A small outhouse is locked and used for storage only.
