Forest-edge cottage – Gesztenyés Backpackers

If you want to get away from the city and relax in peace on the edge of the forest, this cottage is the perfect choice. Listen to the birds chirping while drinking your morning coffee, lounge in the hammock under the old chestnut tree, walk along the Mohás Spring on the Óház Lookout hiking trail, and to finish, stop by one of the nearby wineries or just admire the starry sky from the garden. The house can comfortably accommodate two adults and one child (from baby to 12-13 years old) with one extra bed. The space The small house of about 40 square meters and the garden are located on Mohás Road, the back neighbor is the forest. From the parking lot, a long but not steep staircase leads to the house, which consists of a hallway, kitchen, living room-bedroom, bathroom and toilet, and has a front and a back terrace. The main heating of the house is the tiled stove, which we will be happy to help you light, and additional electric heating is also available. We also welcome families with (small) children, we can place an extra bed in the accommodation on request, and we can also set up a baby cot after prior consultation. Baby bath, high chair, toys, etc. Smaller dogs and cats are welcome, but the garden is not completely fenced and the proximity of forest animals can excite pets. There is no TV at the property – the proximity to nature provides the main relaxation. Guest access The whole house and garden are yours, no other guests or the host will be there. Feel free to use everything you find in the house (hammocks, raincoats, food, firewood, etc.). Other things to note The heating of the house is provided by a tiled stove, which provides a special atmosphere and warmth – of course, we will help you to make it easy to use and provide affordable electric heating. In Kőszeg, the tourist tax is payable separately, the rate of which is 700 HUF/person/night from 2026 (over 18 years). Tax is not included in the accommodation fee, payable upon arrival.
