The lodge was designed for full enjoyment of outdoor spaces with multiple patios and decks to bring sweeping panoramic views throughout. The great room and kitchen are part of an open floor plan. A large television is equipped with Apple TV and Bluetooth speakers will be available for use in the home. Incredibly fast STARLINK internet makes this home a dream for remote workers, with an established workspace. This is the perfect getaway to share with loved ones and friends! Details about home: 2 Private suites with custom bathrooms (full shower) are located on main floor. (1 king, 1 queen with twin bed) Additional super comfortable cot style mattresses included. We are available by phone for any questions or concerns as you settle in, and are happy to assist in making your stay as pleasant as possible. Lodge is about 1 mile away from downtown Julian. Wineries, restaurants, breweries, and plenty of hiking paths are just steps outside your door. Things to do during your stay: Hiking 1. Lake cuyamaca - a few short miles away, great hiking/boating opportunities. There is also a nice little restaurant with a great view of the lake. 2. Volcan mountain hike - this is a moderate to strenuous hike with incredible views all the way to the ocean to the west and a vast view of borrego springs to the east. It is a steep climb but quite beautiful. 3. Mount Laguna hiking trails - incredible hiking through old growth pine on rolling hills. Definitely worth a visit. Wine/beer 1. Nickel brewing is very close to your stay, and has a nice selection of craft beers. 2. Volcan mountain winery - an excellent place to visit and enjoy a glass of wine. The winery is surrounded by vineyards and apple trees. 3. Blue door winery - on the Main Street of Julian, this winery/tasting room is excellent. 4. Calico Cidery - excellent hard cider tasting room with organic made from the orchard ciders. Great spot for a picnic! Breakfast & Coffee Regulars Wanted beanery Dining 1. Jeremy’s on the hill - excellent farm to table food. This is our go-to dining option. We have left info in the house with a card for a complimentary order of Brussels sprouts with dinner. 2. Julian beer co. - just opened on the Julian Main Street. Great pizza and locally crafted beers 3. Quecho Elevated - excellent authentic Mexican Faire and margaritas/fresh beer from the Tap! They also have a great outdoor dining setup! 4. Wynola pizza company - excellent wood-fired pizza and they have live music on the weekends. 5. Julian pie company on the Main Street is our personal favorite! Large driveway available for parking. We recommend using a car or bicycle for access to all activities within the Julian area. Please Note: lodge has multiple stairs and staircases. *CHECK IN (4pm) AND CHECK OUT (11am) ARE FIRM! Guests can request early check in or check out for a minimum fee of $50. Based on availability. GUESTS are required to check out at 11 am or may incur a $50 fee. Our cleaning crew is punctual and will arrive at 1105 am to clean and prepare the house. We have incredibly fast and effective internet for remote work and television/video streaming* *Dog Friendly with CONDITIONS* Our home is dog friendly for well-behaved, hypoallergenic pups. We cannot allow any dogs that shed significantly due to allergies, and no cats at all. Please note, we only allow 1 dog per stay. YOU MUST disclose your intention of bringing your dog with relevant info about your dog (age/breed/disposition) to the host during the booking process. Please note there is an additional $35 fee per pet per night. If your pet damages anything or has an accident in the house it is your responsibility to communicate this to the host. And damages noted after the stay without prior communication will incur a $250 penalty on top of the cost to repair or replace and damaged items. *special events* We are happy to explore whether the property is a fit for an intimate (under 20 guests) wedding.
