Betty the Bus

Betty the Bus came by way of Sheridan, Wyoming. It was a perilous journey in the middle of the Winter ice and snow, but she pulled through like a champ. She has had a few resting places since her escape from the frigid conditions she once experienced, but has now settled into Downtown Benson, Arizona. She is looking forward to hosting guests that will appreciate her eclectic and peaceful nature. The space Betty the Bus has provided a peaceful respite for many. Upon entry you will be met with positive energy and a sense of peace. Betty's furnishings were almost all upcycled/recycled from elsewhere in keeping with the hosts ideals. The living room has a welcoming and comfortable sofa along with a Smart TV. The kitchen has plenty of counter space encompassing a bar area for 2 for indoor dining. The microwave is conveniently situated under the counter and the refrigerator is not a mini to ensure plenty of storage space. The induction cooktop is stored under the counter and can easily be placed on the countertop when needed. The bathroom is beautifully tiled and has plenty of room for a refreshing shower. Betty has a flushing, dry toilet. It has a standard size seat and a push button flush. Easy Peasy! There is a HUGE hall closet for the provided towels and extra linens along with plenty of room for your clothing and luggage. There is also an area with "drawers" for even more storage. Betty has a single bunk which has been nostalgically left in its original (build out)form. It is surrounded by glow in the dark moon and stars. It provides a quirky and fun third sleep area. Keep in mind this is not quite as big as a twin sized bed and it does not have a guard rail. Under the bunk there is play space, a reading nook or it can be additional storage. It comes complete with an eclectic, green fuzzy rug. Open a drawer to find the step up to your queen size, amazingly comfortable bed. You can open the curtains for a plethora of natural light or keep them closed for darkness and privacy. AND.....just when you think it cannot get any better.....check out the hammock chair. It can be hung by the front door or in the bedroom area. It is very comfortable and has actually provided a comfortable work space for some folks. (host included) Guest access Betty is all yours for your stay. The back yard area is reserved for your use. There is even a little place house available for a youngster to use if prearranged with the host. There is a gas fire pit available when the area is not under fire restriction. Other things to note ***** The toilet will need to be serviced when a red line is seen on the liner in the bowl of the toilet. Please contact the hose immediately upon observing the line and do not use until the host has replaced the liner. There is a catio built against the back of the house where the resident cat, "Kitten", loves to hang out. She loves attention, however the catio is locked to avoid accidental escapes. There is a shed and a garage/barn area in the back yard. It is possible that the host may need to access one of those buildings during your stay but will do so respectfully and quietly so as not to disturb guests. The host is a pet care professional and does offer pet sitting services. Please ask for more details.
