LindenView Guesthouse
Description
Welcome to the LindeView Guesthouse! Nestled in the National Forest Reserve, on a clear summer day, the snowy peaks of the Pyrenees can be admired from the hammock or picnic table in our garden. The guesthouse was built 1786, and used to be the primary school for the town of Mérigon. Completely renovated, it can be used as a refuge from the summer heat, or a cozy cocoon on a chilly winter day by the wood burning stove. The space LindenView has two levels of open floor plan of 38 sqm on each floor, plus a new mezzanine of 10 sqm that houses a double bed. The ground floor includes the kitchen and a dining space, plus a large couch and a full, modern, bathroom. The original staircase from the XVIII century leads to the upper floor, which includes a queen sized bed, a large open space, and a view to the rolling hills on the South side, and a path to the chestnut forest on the North side. From here, a newly installed spiral staircase will bring the guests up to the mezzanine, which includes a double bed. The guest house has been used as a writer's residence in the past due to its meditative and quiet nature, but if inspiration allows, an XL sized trampoline, a lie-down hammock between two linden trees, and a picnic table are also just right outside. Some other popular activities on the compound include cow watching or goat entertaining. Guest access Guests can enjoy the front garden of the guest house in a serene and secluded setting. You are also invited to explore the wider estate at your leisure, including the surrounding fields and forest, offering a true sense of escape and connection with nature.
