The ‘Ploughman’s Poet’ is our peaceful and luxurious cottage for two people that is brimming with character. A truly idyllic rural setting. Perfect for a relaxing break or any outdoors enthusiasts, with easy access to central Scotland. Local train stations provide quick & easy access to both Edinburgh and Glasgow city centres. An excellent base to discover and explore Scotland. On site we have very friendly black Labrador's named Grace and Belle. The space The property offers; 1 double bedroom with king size bed and built in wardrobes with plenty storage facilities, fantastic fully equipped dining kitchen, large dual aspect lounge with access to outside decked area, modern bathroom with walk in shower and large garden. There is ample parking on site. The Ploughman’s Poet offers the perfect space for spending those long summer evenings in, taking in the striking views over the surrounding countryside watching the beautiful sunset. Local information folder with all the local attractions, eateries, shopping we have to offer. We do have a travel cot and high chair for younger guests, the cottage can easily accommodate no older than 2 years old. The outside area is not childproof and parents/carers must be responsible for children at all times. We do not have EV charging facilities on site but there are several nearby. Guest access There is ample parking for a number of cars, the Ploughman's Poet is located on the same site as our home. Therefore I am around if you need anything. The cottage is a completely detached one bedroom cottage with it's own private access and front door. Access to our ground is via a securely electronic locked gate, at checking you will be authorised to use. Our location is rural, there is a farm locally. But within easy reach of all local amenities. Please feel free to ring me if you have any questions prior to booking. Other things to note Car is essential if you plan to travel around, we are not on any local bus routes.
