Lying in a sunny, south-facing position in the alpine village of Mauterndorf, Chalet Lewin is a spacious 5 bedroom house, just a short walk away from the village centre, with its historic attractions, restaurants and bars. A perfect location for both skiing & summer activities in the Lungau and Tauern valleys. There are a choice of 4 easily accessible ski areas, each with slopes above 2000m and with ski schools for all abilities. The ski bus to Grosseck-Speiereck stops just 50m from the house and the lifts are approximately 5 mins drive away. The neighbouring ski resorts of Obertauern, Fanningberg and Katschberg can all be accessed by ski buses from the village centre. Winter sports abound- tobogganing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing to name a few. In summer, the area provides stunning scenery for a wide range of activities incl. hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, Nordic walking, canoeing and rafting. Within a 10 min walk of the house you can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, mini-golf, explore the village shops, or experience one of the many cultural traditions/festivals the village has retained.
