The space The 75 sqm holiday home is located about 50 meters from the Neidenelven river. Built in 2019 with high standard. It has all the amenities that a regular home has including water and drainage, underfloor heating in the kitchen, living room, hallway and bathroom, and the crown of the work; wood-fired sauna in the guest cabin. Sleeps 8 in total. There is also Wi-Fi, TV and Apple TV available. Neiden is a small village in Sør-Varanger, known for its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. Neiden is located 45 km west of Kirkenes city center, along the E6. Kirkenes Airport is 33 km from the cabin, a 35-minute drive. From the cabin it is 20 km to the Finnish shops in Näätämö, a 20-minute drive in summer, and 10 minutes in winter, then over the ice bridge over the river. In Näätämö there are 2 grocery stores that offer a wide selection of both traditional and local foods. Guest access Entire holiday home and guest house with 4 beds and wood-fired sauna. In winter, you can ski and/or ride a snowmobile right out of the cabin for exciting winter adventures, with amazing fishing waters where you can fish on the ice for big trout and grayling. In autumn, there are amazing hunting and fishing opportunities just outside the door. In summer, you can fish in the beautiful Neidenelva river, which is known for its Käpälä fishing and is one of Norway's best salmon rivers. Sport fishing with a rod is allowed in most parts of the river, but requires a fishing license. The season usually lasts from June to August, with separate zones for fly fishing and lure fishing. The most popular area is the lower part of the river at Skoltefossen and along river stretches near Neiden. Fishing licenses must be purchased from Neiden Fiskefellesskap or other local providers. There are strict rules for fishing and quotas apply to preserve the salmon stock. Disinfection of fishing equipment is required to avoid diseases in the river. Ice fishing in winter takes place on lakes, where species such as trout and Arctic char can be fished through the ice. Hunting in the Neiden area takes place mainly on state land and private hunting areas in Sør-Varanger. For hunting and fishing, you are required to familiarize yourself with local and national rules. Norwegian weapons laws must be followed. Hunting types and species Small game hunting: Grouse, hare and forest birds (black grouse, capercaillie). Big game hunting: Elk hunting is popular in the area, but requires the allocation of hunting cards via hunting teams. Predator hunting: Hunting for red foxes, wolverines and minks is allowed with certain restrictions. Where can you hunt? State land: Managed by FeFo (Finnmarkseiendommen), and hunting licenses are purchased via Inatur.no. Private areas: Requires agreement with landowner or membership in hunting team. Important rules and requirements Hunting cards and permits: Must be purchased in advance (usually via Inatur.no). Hunting test: Everyone who hunts in Norway must have passed the hunting test. Shooting test for big game hunting: Required for hunting moose and other big game. Hunting seasons: Different hunting seasons apply to different species (grouse hunting often starts in September). Weapons and safety: Must follow Norwegian weapons laws, and hunting must take place in a humane and responsible manner. Use maps and GPS to avoid hunting on private land without permission. Dress according to the weather conditions - Neiden can be harsh in autumn. Respect hunting quotas and report catches if required.
