Located next door to historic Piatt Castle Mac-A-Cheek and just a mile from the charming village of West Liberty, Ohio, Piatt Cabin is perfect for a tranquil getaway. Set back from the road by a private lane, this rustic log cabin has all of the charm of the original 1828 home with the modern comforts and amenities you’ll want for your country retreat. Other things to note You may notice a few friendly outdoor cats around the property—they belong to some nearby neighbors and love to stop by to say hello! They’re very gentle and used to guests, but feel free to ignore them if you prefer—they’ll happily be on their way. Additionally, our cabin is full of rustic charm and history, and like many older woodland homes, you may occasionally notice a mild “cabin” scent during periods of heavy rain or humidity. We take great care to keep the space clean, fresh, and comfortable for every guest, and this scent is rarely a bother. However, if you have an incredibly sensitive nose, you may want to consider this during rainy season to ensure the best trip possible.
