This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom very spacious apartment with skylights in every room to bring in lots of natural light is located in the quaint little fishing village of Bernard on Bass Harbor very close to Acadia National Park with many beautiful hiking trails and carriage roads. Within walking distance, is a restaurant Thurston's Lobster Pound. They have great lobsters, fish chowder and lobster stew. My favorite is the lobster BLT. There are pickle ball courts in Southwest Harbor 10 min away. The space This newly renovated 3 bedroom apartment is located on the second floor of the Old School House, a large historic building in the village of Bernard located on the quietside of the island of Mount Desert Island and within minutes to Acadia National Park and a 30 minute drive to Bar Harbor, a bustling little town with many bars, restaurants and cruise ship dock. There are many interesting boat tours from Bar Harbor such as whale watching and nature tours. In the apartment, the master bedroom is very large with a private deck and walk-in closet. The kitchen, living room and dining room are all open which make for nice entertainment . We have an outdoor grill for your use and also a bocce court for those inclined. Guest access There is a lovely public rocky beach called Back Beach within a 1/2 mile. It is great for swimming if you can brave the cold water. Other things to note Pets are welcome. The TV is a Smart TV. It has all the common apps loaded such as Netflix and Video Prime. We also have You Tube TV which offers over 70 channels to watch.
