The Burrow - a unique self- contained home

Our location is perfect for exploring Northumberland’s beautiful coastline and historic venues. You will always experience a warm welcome and the hosts are always available should you wish for extra information and help. The Burrow is a unique place to stay. It is entirely independent from the main house which is opposite, and both are set in a large garden which is accessed by a wide entrance along a sweeping gravel driveway. The Burrow has recently refurbished to a very high standard, and includes the addition of a neff oven and hob. The kitchen is now fully equipped for self catering during your stay. However, we do provide guests with a continental breakfast each day of their stay. The house itself is situated in the lovely village of Lesbury which is only three miles from Alnwick and a mile from Alnmouth and the sea. Lesbury itself is wonderfully positioned being on the main line railway to Newcastle in the south, only 28 minutes away, and to the north, Edinburgh that is only an hour and a quarter away. There is also a frequent bus service from the village that goes through lots of villages before arriving at Newcastle. We do provide provisions stored in the fridge which will enable guests to make their own breakfast. Thus there are cereals, milk, bread, fruit juice, etc. However, if you have specific food requirements please let us know in advance so that we can try to accomodate your preferences. Eg. wheat intolerant, no dairy products, etc. Our aim is to provide the perfect base from which to discover and enjoy the beauties of Northumberland. Guest access Guests will have ample parking space. Bicycles can be stored overnight in the shed or the games room, where they will be secure and kept dry. An outdoor table and chairs will be available on the patio outside the borrow.
