Our guest house, affectionately known as the “shanty” is located in a very private setting on our property in Sugar Hill. We are located about 25 minutes from the Brenton Woods Ski area and also Loon Mountain ski area. Cannon Mountain is about a 15 minute drive. Our property abuts the Toad Hill Farm wedding venue and is a 5 minute drive from the cottage. The Bishop Farm wedding venue is about 12 minutes away. The space There are hardwood floors in the bedroom as well as the main room as you walk in. The kitchen is outfitted with stainless cookware and with high quality dinnerware and serving utensils. The bedroom linens are either cotton flannel ( for the winter months) or 100% cotton percal. Some of the bedding items came from Garnet Hill. The bathroom has a shower stall and other bath necessities. There is a ships ladder staircase servicing the bedroom. Perfect for two people. There is a queen bed frame and Saatva mattress and box spring along with new all cotton bedding. We are fully in compliance with having hard wired combination smoke and CO detectors on both floors. Unfortunately we do not allow pets as they create potential allergic environment for future guests. The kitchen has a new “retro” style under the counter refrigerator with a separate freezer compartment. There is also a second under the counter size refrigerator for additional storage of drinks and food ( it does not have a freezer compartment) and is located in the living room. Guest access You are welcome to walk around the property surrounding the guest house and all of the outbuildings. In the summer come check out Irene’s extensive gardens. Other things to note We ask that no extensive frying of foods in the kitchen be done as there is no exhaust fan above the stove. We have a listing of all local eateries in the Sugar Hill/Franconia, Bethlehem, and Littleton areas including web sites and local telephone numbers. It is located in the Cottage 3 ring note book manual. In addition there is a DVD player with a selection of about 50 DVD’s to view. There is a 40” Flat screen TV with access to several PBS channels as well as streaming news channels. There are no cable or satellite channels available. Netflix and YouTube and Amazon prime videos are also available.
