Guesthouse with Lush Garden and Bonus Studio

This is outdoor living at it's finest! The guesthouse opens onto your professionally landscaped lush garden, private front patio and large backyard. Have your morning coffee in the front patio sitting area, take your book to the backyard shaded sitting area during the day, and return to patio in the evening for a glass of wine and BBQ in your outdoor dining area with string lighting for ambiance. In addition to the guesthouse you will have access to an adjacent studio with a full bath that also opens to the front patio. This unique configuration gives you lots of options for your stay! Our guest house is an almost 900 square foot, two story, cedar shingled cottage built in 2006. We are in a great location, in the heart of San Luis Obispo less than 2 miles from downtown. The guest house is very private. It has its own driveway, private patio and backyard. The property is on a “flag lot,” meaning we are tucked off the street and surrounded by mature trees, including a large coastal redwood. The first floor includes the bedroom with a plush queen sized bed and closet, full bath with shower, sitting area with gas fireplace and kitchen with bar seating. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator and sink, 4 burner built-in cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, dishes, utensils and cookware. The first floor opens out to a beautiful private slate patio with dining table, chairs and BBQ. The large second floor loft has a desk, couch and TV. Amenities include high-speed internet, Wi-Fi, 65” flat screen HDTV, and basic cable. The unit has a private washer and dryer. We also provide an iron/board and hair dryer. Coffee and tea are provided. Full, private access to permitted, stand-alone secondary dwelling unit (guest house). We have two children and we do border an elementary school, so you can hear the occasional sounds of children at play during the day. We cherish the opportunity to host and while respecting your privacy we will also be available to make your stay in SLO as pleasant as possible! This unique property is tucked away off the street and surrounded by mature trees, giving it a very private, retreat in the city, feel. Just steps away from the municipal pool, YMCA, tennis courts, volleyball, frisbee golf course, baseball fields, playground and parks. Located just two miles from downtown and easilty accessible by foot or bike. Enjoy SLO's temperate climate and proximity to wineries, shopping, dining, hiking and biking trails, beaches and ocean activities. There is a walking/bike path nearby that takes you downtown. It takes about 10 minutes by bike or 20-25 min walking. We are also a block away from a bus stop. Of course driving you can be downtown in less than 5 minutes.
