Össby old stone house

Charming old stone house. A large room, chairs, dining table, sofa, and two beds. Kitchenette and small bathroom. 30 sqm (323 sq ft). Tool shed next door. The house is located separately, close to the main building. Beautiful old garden, with smelling peas and roses in summer. The village is close to the sea and is one of Öland's most beautiful. Close to a nice little sandy beach and pristine shore meadows. Birdwatchers favorite next to the southern cape which is within cycling distance ( 40 min). In the garden view to the sea, fields and on the other side of Alvaret. The space Are you a nature lover? Then you're in the right place. Welcome to a quiet magical place almost at the bottom of southeastern Öland! Sit in the hammock and watch the roses, fields and sea for breakfast and watch the Alvaret for dinner at sunset. Pick some lettuce, sage or maybe some raspberries (if in season) in the garden. Here you can move freely, be yourself and children can play. Take a walk to Eketorp Castle at sunset or go down to the sea and watch the swans and, if you are lucky, the seals. Guest access The stone house is accessible, and the garden is big enough for both guests and us who live here. Children and dogs are allowed to move around freely. If you want a secluded patio, that’s fine. The proximity to the sea makes the outdoor air humid. As of 2026, we have a dehumidifier that removes any moisture from the air inside the house. Other things to note We do not usually provide sheets and towels but if this causes a problem because you are, for example, traveling from far away, we can always arrange some. If so, please let us know well in advance of your arrival. Between the large room and the kitchenette, there is a beautiful load-bearing beam that is at a fairly low level, which means that this doorway is about 150 cm high, so you have to bend over when you go through if you are not quite short. This is usually not a problem but can be good to know about. Usually check-in after 5:00 pm and check-out no later than 12:00 pm but we are flexible.
