Imagine sleeping in a Tiny Cabin built in the middle of the Rainforest and being in permanent contact with nature in the area surrounding El Yunque National Rainforest. We are located in the Municipality of Canóvanas, 40 minutes from Old San Juan, and 35 minutes from Luquillo Beach. Our Wild Cabin with capacity for 5 people is located in a private forest of 10,000 meters with direct access to the river where you can bathe in natural pools and waterfalls. The space If you want to sleep listening to the river in the distance, feel the sound of the rain on the roof and breathe the morning dew while preparing an Espresso, visit us!!! Our Wild Cabin presents a one-of-a-kind experience. Along the 10,000 m2 of trails, we have inventoried more than 160 species of trees that you can access by their numerical code and learn about their species. Once you arrive at the Cubuy River through our paths, you can start your own adventure and swim in different natural pools and imposing waterfalls. Then you can end your own excursion by enjoying a sunset in the Wild Cabin's small, non-heated outdoor pool, which is 7 feet long, 5 feet wide, and 3 feet deep, and letting yourself be dazzled by the starry sky. On the property you will find the following facilities: • 2-level Tiny Cabin with 580ft2 and 20ft high ceiling. • As it is a Tiny Cabin, the stairs leading to the second floor have 19-inch wide steps through which you will feel like climbing a ladder for goblins. • Full indoor bathroom (toilet / sink / shower) and hot water. • Queen size bed on the second floor of the Tiny Cabin. • 2 sofa beds on the first floor for 2 people each • Dining table and chairs in an open space that blends in with the forest • Kitchen equipped with a 5-burner gas stove and dishwasher • 10ft cu. refrigerator • Kitchen utensils (plates, glasses, wine glasses, cutlery, moka coffee maker, pots, pans) • Designated parking in front of the Wild Cabin • 2 electric fans • Smart TV with a connection point for the guest to provide their own internet. Therefore, guests must bring their own device with its own internet connection in order to use the TV. • Small, unheated outdoor pool OTHER HIGHLIGHTS FOR YOUR ADVENTURE! The Wild Cabin is set in a rainforest 1,200 feet above sea level, so temperatures can vary, with sunny and rainy moments within the same day, which makes the place magical. We recommend that you come with warm clothes for the night between the months of November to March. Our property has a permanent cleaning and decoration team for the entire circuit of trails, however, know that when you enter our forest you will be inserted in the depth of nature and will coexist with many types of insects typical of the area, exotic lizards, endemic frogs, small spider webs, and other animals of the Tropical Forest as well as enjoy the singing of the multiple species of birds. It is important to emphasize that to enjoy the hiking our trails offer, you must bring trekking shoes, be in good physical condition, and be aware that you will be walking on steep, rocky trails, as well as on slippery river rocks. If you understand that these natural elements will diminish or affect the enjoyment of your stay or experience, we recommend staying in the city, however, we are sure that it will be an unforgettable memory to connect with yourself, your partner or your family. The property does not have internet, however, the coverage of antennas placed in the area means that there is telephone and internet signal in almost the entire forest and even in many sectors of the Cubuy River with which our property borders. Our Wild Cabin is a completely OFF GRID project, so our entire electrical system is a combination of solar power generation and our own generators. Our Wild Cabin is designed for 5 people and it is also important to note that the cabin is in a Forest where there are also 2 Geodesic Domes about 300 and 450 feet away which receive other guests. Each space is fully separate and independent so you will have complete privacy during your stay. During your stay you can book the experience of receiving a relaxation massage on the riverbank or anywhere hidden in our forest, as well as guided tours of several of the natural attractions in the area. To be able to enjoy these experiences, the reservation is requested at least about 2 weeks before. Guest access You can enjoy all the common trails and the river following the signage installed at different points in the forest.
