All rooms are equipped with movable fly screens so that you can sleep with the windows open even on warm nights. The large kitchen and the cozy living room are equipped with open fireplaces. La Palétie is not only built in the typical cozy Perigord style from natural stone and furnished with pretty country house furniture, but also has every modern comfort with WiFi in all rooms, Internet TV, CD and DVD, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. From every bedroom you have a wonderful view over the Dordogne valley. The house is just a few minutes from the castles of Beynac and Castelnaud, and the famous Chateau "Les Milandes" is within sight. The beautiful medieval towns of Sarlat-La-Canéda and La Roque-Gageac are just a few kilometers away. The caves of Lascaux or Les Eyzies-de-Tayac with their world-famous prehistoric sites are 20 minutes away. Bruno investigates in Le Bugue, 10 kilometers from La Palétie. All the necessary facilities for daily life are very close. A bakery, supermarket, doctor or pharmacy can be reached within a few minutes. There are lovely and typical restaurants in all price ranges throughout the area if you don't want to cook yourself. And the range of leisure activities is huge: canoeing on the Dordogne, horse riding, hiking, climbing, running, biking or ballooning can be experienced directly or very close to the house. You can play tennis and golf a few kilometers away. La Palétie offers everything you need for a nice and relaxing vacation. Guest access The house is entirely at our guests' disposal. The pool is also reserved exclusively for our guests and is not used by anyone else. Our guests have access to the entire property of over 5000 square meters. It is private, cannot be seen from any side, but is not isolated and is very easy to reach. Cleaning is not included but mandatory and is charged on site at 120 euros per stay. Other things to note For us, the Perigord and "La Palétie" were love at first sight. The landscape, the people, the food and the history of the Perigord fascinated us immediately. The house on the hill above the Dordogne, its charming exterior, its cozy interior, the location in the middle of the most beautiful part of a wonderful holiday area, delighted us from the very first moment. And every time we are in the Perigord, it gets more beautiful - also because we are always working on our house and are constantly developing and improving it.
