Tiny house at heart

Our place is in a peaceful neighborhood in the small fishing village of Melbu. At the very heart of the region of Lofoten and Vesterålen. Our tiny house is only a short walk from the charming town center, the seaside, and most importantly, the majestic Norwegian mountains. The space Our tiny house will provide everything you need, and hopefully give you a homey feeling. It has a cabin like touch, and is an echo of the Norwegian cabin culture. We are close to nature here in Melbu. Since we can not travel as much as we would like, it is wonderful that the whole world is coming to us! Welcome to our guest house! Guest access You will have your own parking lot and you will be totally self-efficient in the tiny house. However, should you need extra laundry I am happy to do that for you. You will also have your own part of our big garden to your disposal, along with outdoor furniture and a fire pit. Wood is to be found underneath the tiny house. Other things to note We have all kinds of weather, so bring clothes for cold days. Even in summer. Always check the weather before going on outdoor trips, and always abort in time. Make sure the ultimate selfie is not your last, as we have had accidents with people falling off the mountains, or into the ocean. We have narrow and windy roads, and look out for holes... always stop at designated areas to take your photos. Adjust the speed of the car to the always changing conditions. It can be a real hazard driving. During the summer season it is light outside 24/7. Please bring a sleeping mask, you might need it in order to sleep. Unless you want to explore life at night in northern Norway? We have amazing possibilities for fishing and hiking. All year. We are happy to give you tips suitable for you to ensure a great out door experience. Our house is five minutes from a beach, and 20 min from yet another white, sandy beach. Would you like to stay longer we can help you get in touch with guides that offers various activities, such as fishing and climbing. Or maybe you just want to make your own bonfire in the woods? We have the perfect place for that 10 min from our house. Do you want a great view with your bon fire? There is a wonderful meeting point up hill, very close to town. "Kos og amfi" is one of the places where you can meet the locals outdoors. If you fancy volleyball this place will make you extra happy. Ps! We have a volleyball to lend you. In Melbu you find several places to meet and dine. Bakeriet is a cosy cafè by the town market place, and we are proud of our family owned bakery. The bakery is a five minutes walk from our house, and they are open during daytime since 1964. Nye Røykeriet has open several days a week, and serve local food made by Ibo - a gem of a man. We are lucky to have an Irish Pub open three days a week. Melbu Hotell is extending their opening seasons, and serve local food with an international twist - due to the chefs coming from abroad. Our gas station and our local kiosk serve fast food for people on the move. They stay open until 11 at night. We are also happy to provide a grill and free wood for our guests if that seems interesting to you. Melbu has an unique second-hand store, and a hardware-store that goes many generations back. They have nice gifts and souvenirs too. The drug store is integrated with the food store Coop. If you need prescripted drugs there is a larger drug store in Stokmarknes. At our flower shop you find beautiful things as well as flowers. We have a grocery store 5 min from our house. At the grocery stores they sell cider and beer, but if we want wine and liquor we have to take a 15 min car drive to Stokmarknes to get it. A part from that we find pretty much all we need here. Unfortunately there is no longer a cash machine in town, but the grocery stores are often willing to help with cash. We have a nice park in town, close to the mansion of Melbu. We have doctor`s office and the hospital is only 15 min away by car, in Stokmarknes. We have a dentist in town too, should you need one.
