Pwllheli translates to 'saltwater pool' and was, at one time, one of the main shipbuilding centres in North Wales and has a long maritime history. Today, the Marina is considered one of the best in the country and is a European Centre of Excellence in sailing. 'A tranquil haven within easy walking distance of the beach, marina, and all this bustling little town has on offer' It is located just on the outskirts of this bustling coastal town with its variety of shops, cafes and restaurants in addition to the two main beaches, South Beach and Glandon. No more than an easy ten-minute walk from the National Sailing Centre of Wales and the Llyn Coastal Path. This compact north-west corner of North Wales makes it easy to access the attractions of the area - the majestic mountains of Snowdonia, the castles and mines of Gwynedd, water sports, golf, horse riding and so much more.
