The Villa located on the farmland of Kaldbakur offers you an extraordinary location with breathtaking view, abundant bird-life, spectacular nature and wildlife, country comfort and urban activities and service in the town of Húsavík, only 1.900 meters from the town center. Walking paths are along the lakes and to surrounding places. Minimum rental is 2 nights. The space Our beautiful villa, Kaldbakur is a wooden villa with extraordinary and personal design and interiors. The house is built in 1962 but restored in 1981 and again in 2006. The villa is available for vacation rental and sleeps maximum 10 people. The villa has 5 bedrooms: One double, two twin bedrooms and a set of connected rooms (double+bunker bedroom), all with geothermal heating. It has two bathrooms, a large living room, dining room and a kitchen. Please note! You are in Iceland; there may be hydrogen sulfide smell of the hot water. The living room has a fireplace and a TV with Streaming box and a Nintendo console .In the dining area there is a dining table for up to 12 people and a piano. We do our best to keep the indoor air in our cottages free from fragrances, mold, chemicals, and solvents so they are suitable for people suffering from allergies, respiratory problems or multiple chemical sensitivity (MSC). We would also be grateful if our guests limited as much as possible the usage of fragranced products while staying with us. The Villa is designed to accommodate up to 10 guests. Parking is available for up to 3 cars in the parking lot for free. Other things to note Included in the price is SELF CATERING bed linens and towels. Our Villa is located on the scenic 260 km long "Diamond Circle": The Húsavík - Dettifoss - Myvatn - Húsavík round trip journey, so many of the most spectacular and interesting places in Iceland are within 100 km radius from Húsavík. Húsavík is the European capital of whale watching, but further than that the north of Iceland is full of amazing places, like the "Diamond Ring Road", and a great location for Aurora hunters. Our Villa is just in the right location to be the place to stay to explore the north and relax at the end of the day seating on the terrace looking a the Northern lights in the winter or in our hot tubs admiring the midnight sun in summer.
