Other things to note Here is a detailed guide to e-bike routes departing directly from Ca' Paradiso (Cagli), designed for guests who use the 4 electric bicycles available for rent at the property. 1. The Bosso River Canyon and Gorgo Gorge in Cerbara Level: Easy / Suitable for everyone Surface: Asphalt and light dirt road Length and elevation gain: ~25 km (round trip) | ~300 m elevation gain Battery management: Minimum consumption (about 25–30%). You can travel mainly in Eco mode. Itinerary: Ca' Paradiso → Secchiano → Pianello (along the Bosso River) → Gola di Gorgo a Cerbara → Return. Description: The most relaxing route. It runs along the crystal-clear waters of the Bosso River through a picturesque rocky gorge. Perfect for a relaxing half-day, with the possibility of stopping for a swim in the natural pools during the summer. The climb is almost entirely concentrated at the end, on the way back to the property. 2. The Panoramic Climb of Mount Petrano Level: Medium (Challenging without a motor, easy/medium with an e-bike) Surface: Entirely paved Length and Elevation Gain: ~30 km (round trip) | ~900 m D+ Battery management: Medium-high consumption (about 60–70%). Requires Tour/Sport mode for the steady climb. Itinerary: Ca' Paradiso → Cagli center → Ascent of Mount Petrano → Summit meadows → Return along the same route. Description: Once you descend to the historic center of Cagli, you take the famous climb that leads to the 1,100 meters of Monte Petrano. The slope is constant, but the perfect asphalt and electric assistance make the climb pleasant. At the top, there is an immense grassy plateau with a 360° view that sweeps from the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea. Tip: Bring a windproof jacket for the stop at high altitude. 3. The Rocca Leonella Loop and the Fondarca Arch Level: Intermediate / Adventurous Surface: Mixed (asphalt, dirt roads, and mountain gravel) Length and Elevation Gain: ~35 km (loop) | ~700 m D+ Battery management: Average consumption (about 50-60%). Itinerary: Ca' Paradiso → Secchiano → Rocca Leonella junction → Pieia → Cagli → Ca' Paradiso. Description: A wild loop that runs along the slopes of Monte Nerone. From Secchiano, you climb towards the village of Rocca Leonella among rock faces and woods. Once you reach the village of Pieia, it is advisable to park your e-bikes for a moment for a very short walk (10 minutes) to Fondarca, a spectacular natural rock arch with an open-air cave. We then return, closing the loop towards Cagli. 4. Cycling to the Furlo Nature Reserve Level: Medium (in terms of length) / Easy (in terms of elevation) Surface: Asphalt on secondary roads and bike-pedestrian paths Length and elevation gain: ~50 km (round trip) | ~400 m elevation gain Battery management: Average consumption (about 50–60%). Flat surface that allows you to optimize the charge. Itinerary: Ca' Paradiso → Cagli → Smirra → Acqualagna → Gola del Furlo → Return. Description: Ideal for those who want to rack up the miles without tackling steep climbs. You cross the truffle capital (Acqualagna) and then enter the spectacular Furlo Gorge, cycling in total safety along the old Flaminia (now closed to heavy traffic) alongside the Candigliano River between vertical rock walls. Useful notes for guests: Safety: All routes have a final climb to return to Ca' Paradiso; we recommend saving a last bit of battery for the return trip.
