Garden Cottage sleeps two people, and has been lovingly renovated and finished into a self contained, private and beautifully presented private cottage nestled in the garden of Emily and Aaron’s home. Located in a residential area of the Georgian town of North Walsham, the cottage is ideally situated for accessing the vibrant city of Norwich, the beauty of the Norfolk Broads and the breathtaking North Norfolk coast line. Only a 3 minute walk to the train station, and good amenities close by. The space Welcome to Garden Cottage Nestled in the garden of Emily and Aaron’s home, Garden Cottage is a beautifully renovated, private retreat designed just for two. Detached and self-contained, it offers peace, comfort, and style in a friendly residential area of the charming Georgian town of North Walsham. Perfectly placed to explore all that Norfolk has to offer, you’ll find the vibrant city of Norwich, the tranquil beauty of the Norfolk Broads, and the breathtaking North Norfolk coastline all within easy reach. With the train station just a 3-minute walk away (don’t worry—no train noise reaches the cottage), getting around couldn’t be easier. Popular wedding venues such as The Reading Rooms, Worstead Estate, Oxnead Hall, and Hautbois Hall are also only a short drive away. ⸻ A Cozy Home from Home Our aim is to provide a personal, peaceful, and stylish stay at a really reasonable price. The cottage is thoughtfully designed with high ceilings, exposed beams, and three beautifully finished rooms that flow out into a private enclosed garden. It’s the ideal place to unwind with a coffee in the morning sun or a glass of wine on summer evenings. There’s also a lovely seafront café and plenty of space to stretch out with a picnic. Norwich – 25 minutes by car / 30 minutes by train A beautiful medieval city with a vibrant, modern edge. Holt – 30 minutes A gorgeous Georgian market town brimming with independent shops, art galleries, and cosy cafés and independent delis. Holt is the perfect place to spend a leisurely afternoon, browsing antiques, enjoying an afternoon tea, or wandering around the nearby Holt Country Park. It has a timeless elegance and charm that makes it a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike. Horsey Beach – 30 minutes An unforgettable experience awaits at Horsey Beach, where you can often see wild grey seals lounging on the sand — and in the winter months, adorable seal pups too. It’s a magical sight, whether you’re a keen photographer or just love being close to nature. Guest access Guests have access to Garden Cottage and it’s own private garden, which is self contained. Garden Cottage is completely private and you won’t be disturbed during your stay. Guests have a free designated off road parking space on the shared driveway to the main house. Garden Cottage has its own private entrance. We offer self check in with a key safe so you are able to arrive at your leisure. Other things to note We provide tea, coffee and something sweet to welcome you. We also provide a small selection of welcome basket goodies for guests upon first arrival, who make a booking of 3 nights or more. We are an inclusive space, always. Everyone is welcome.
