Monte da Tarouca || Puro Alentejo

Located in northeastern Alentejo, in the village of Crato, district of Portalegre, Monte da Tarouca is one of the most pleasant destinations to enjoy a few days of rest. A holiday home for more than 30 years, Monte da Tarouca is a family heritage that has transformed it, with a touch of passion, from a house in Ganhões (name of the workers of the Alentejo farming) into an unforgettable place to spend a great weekend and a well-deserved vacation days. The space Monte da Tarouca consists of 2 contiguous houses, typically Alentejo. The main house has 3 bedrooms and the room house D.Carlos (as it is designated), with 2 more. The main living room is the part that most characterizes the house and reveals its history, with two large Alentejo fireplaces and the library in the Mezzanine. From this room we can go directly to the porch and the pool. Some of the rooms also offer a direct exit to the pool enjoying an exceptional view that reaches the village of Crato. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils to prepare meals and is equipped with all the necessary appliances. This house has a bedroom with a double bed and bathroom, a bedroom with two single beds, a bedroom with a single bed and a bathroom supporting the latter two. In Casa da Sala D.Carlos, we find a living room and kitchenette together, as well as two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds, both supported by private bathrooms. Outside, in addition to the 12 hectares of property, where you can enjoy the purest nature and take wonderful walks, we also have a porch where you can have your meals, either at dawn or in the company of a fantastic sunset. Monte da Tarouca has a magnificent pool to cool off in the warmer days, a tennis court for sports and, for those who are nature lovers, some farm animals, including horses and their own ring. When it gets dark, Monte da Tarouca has exterior lighting from the entrance gate to the pool area, passing through the house and porch, so you can enjoy the magnificent Alentejo nights.
