The space We have three rooms with a double bed, a sitting space, and options to hang your clothes. All rooms have an attached bathroom with geezers for hot water. All our rooms have wifi. There is a common area with a kitchenette for all guests to use. You can prepare simple food in house, as we do not offer food services.There is also a library with novels and books on the Darjeeling and Sikkim region – perfect for the interested traveller or the long-term guest. There are games and also drawing activities for children. From our rooms and veranda you have a view of the picturesque rolling Bijanbari hills towards the Nepal border. On a clear day, a look to the your right down the road will give you a glimpse of the snow-capped sacred protector if the region, Mount Kangchendzonga, the third highest mountain in the world. We are excited to host you and to make your stay memorable. Our name "Kurakani" translates as conversation. It is the banter and laughter you can hear from the tea stalls and the benches at Chowrasta. It is sharing, it is the back and forth of trust. It is knowledge. It is ancestral. It is rhythm. It is melody. Guest access Our guests have access to the veranda and the common sitting area with kitchenette. Our residence is on the floor above the rooms. In case you have any problems or require support, you can reach us there. Other things to note How you can find us. We are located in the main road to Lebong. You will find us by crossing the Darjeeling bazar and continuing on the road towards Lebong. Our homestay is about a 5 to 10 minute drive from the central jeep stand, located between the Singamari police station and St. Joseph's College. If you are coming in your own car, there is a designated parking space in front of the house on the road side. Along back roads you can walk to the zoo (10 minutes) and the Mall / Chowrasta area (20 to 25 minutes). The Darjeeling Ropeway is also just a few minutes walk from our house.
