The old ice house was built in 1936 but the distinctive building is completely renovated and maintains modern standard. From the top of Store Batalden 492 meters above sea level, you can enjoy the sight of the beautiful nature that makes the archipelago outside Florø truly unique. In the winter, enjoy spectacular nature experiences in the most stormy area of Southern Norway. Here you will be close to the elements and the amazing winter light. November to February is the high season for storms, and the Ice House is ideally located, on the very seafront with the North Sea as the closest neighbor.
