Casa Mariposa is located right on the beach and a short walk to the village square of Chuburna Puerto. Your back door is the ocean (literally you open your private beach door and step on to the sand), private outdoor living in the front courtyard with a pool, barbecue and stairs to your own guest casita. The Main house has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath the other bath is accessed outside in the bodega next to the pool and casita. Swim in the warm ocean, float in the pool and fall asleep to the waves. We are located on the ocean just a three block walk to town. I love that our son can walk to town by himself to get snacks or chase after the ice cream man. The front door leads you into the courtyard where you will find the pool and private casita above the garage. A comfortable sitting area with plenty of room to lounge is located below a covered deck next to the pool. From the pool courtyard you can access the main house and the bodega which houses a second bathroom as well as provides access to the veranda, beach and outdoor shower. The main house has two bedrooms and one bath. A great room with kitchen, dining room and living room. While inside our home is very practical and comfortable, you will find yourself drawn outside and we hope your biggest decisions everyday will be poolside or ocean side and whether to cook in or walk to town and find a bite to eat in your choice of restaurants. Guests have complete access to all the house has to offer. We have dresser in the master, a closet in the casita and cupboards in the bodega that are locked with some of our personal stuff but otherwise the place is yours. Property managers Barry and Andrea are right next door and are very helpful and accommodating for what you might need. Jennifer and I will be available by phone or email otherwise Barry and Andrea will be there for your needs. Our house is located 2 blocks from Chuburna Centro and is on the most gorgeous stretch of walkable and swimable beach next to the local fishing pier. Restaurants and stores are a short 5 min walk. If you rent a car we have a single car garage attached. All your basic needs can be met in town. We can make arrangements for you to be picked up from Mérida airport and taken to airport when you are ready at a additional cost.
