Perfect for accessing your funky grey matter. There's a 515m hike to reach your cabin from the carpark. Luggage wheelbarrows provided. It’s an off-grid stay (solar-powered, no WiFi, limited reception). No pets, as this is a working farm. Check-in 3pm, check-out 11am. The space This place is designed to help you slow down without giving up comfort. From the moment you leave the car and start the walk in, things begin to shift. Less noise, fewer distractions, more space to breathe. Inside, the cabin is simple but well thought through. A queen bed, oversized windows, and a layout that makes you feel in the landscape, not on it. Set on a private property with no shared spaces, it’s just you and the surroundings. 🍳 Kitchen 2-burner gas stove, mini fridge, pots, pans, utensils, oil, salt and pepper to get you started. There’s a hand grinder and whole coffee beans for your morning brew. No milk or black tea provided, so please BYO. Clean drinking water is provided. No oven or microwave. Just bring your food and anything specific you like to cook with. 🚿 Bathroom Private bathroom with a hot shower, towels for two, body wash, and toilet paper provided. No shampoo or conditioner, so please BYO. 🚽 Toilet Non-flushing composting toilet. It’s simple to use, and part of keeping the cabin low-impact. ⚡ Power The cabin is solar-powered. Lights, fridge, and charging are all covered. Just be mindful with usage. No hairdryers or large power draw appliances, as these can drain the system and leave you without power for your stay. 🛏️ Comfort Fresh linen, a comfortable queen bed, pillows, an extra blanket, and a calm, uncluttered space. A fan is provided for warmer days. 🔥 Outside Fire pit with a jaffle maker for simple outdoor cooking (firewood available separately). Plenty of space to sit back and take it all in. 🛁 Wood fired outdoor bath There’s a wood fired outdoor bath for long, slow soaks under the open sky. It takes around 2-4 hours to heat, so we recommend getting it going early if you’re keen. Full instructions are in your Field Guide. During Total Fire Ban periods, the tub can’t be heated and becomes a cold plunge instead. 🏡 The experience You’ll have access to your digital Field Guide with directions, how everything works, and local tips. Inside, you’ll find books, card games, and a cassette player to help you properly switch off. Everything here is designed to sit lightly on the land while still giving you what you need for a comfortable stay. Located on the edge of the Blue Mountains, Vera is near some great wilderness sites. Kanangra Walls National Park is a 40 min drive with walks along the escarpment and even has its own waterhole. The Jenolan Caves are approx 40 mins away. Some great bush walks and lost in nature vibes. Oberon Markets are on the 1st Saturday of each month at Oberon Showground. Guest access Before your stay, you’ll receive a digital Field Guide. This is your go-to for everything, directions, access details, how the cabin works, and what to expect when you arrive. You’ll find the link in your pre-stay messages and again in the directions section of this listing. We recommend saving it or taking screenshots before you arrive, as reception can be limited once you’re out there. 🔑 Self check-in All cabins are self check-in. When you arrive, park at your allocated car park (you’ll see your cabin name), then make your way to the cabin on foot. 🚶 The walk in Each cabin has a walk in from the car park. For this one, it’s around 515m and steep in parts. Wheelbarrows are provided to help with your gear, but packing light will make things easier. There’s no parking directly at the cabin. That’s intentional. The walk is part of the experience, a chance to move through the landscape, slow things down, and leave the outside world behind before you arrive. 🚗 Parking You’ll park in a designated spot on private property, marked with your cabin name. If there are other cabins on the property, this may be the only place you see other guests. Parking is outdoors and uncovered, set in nature and open to the elements. Access is 2WD friendly, though you’ll be driving on gravel or dirt roads, so best to leave the sports cars at home. 👟 Come prepared Wear comfortable shoes with good grip, and bring gumboots if it’s wet. Pack for all seasons, even in summer it can get cold at night, and in winter you’ll want plenty of layers. Bring weather-appropriate gear in case the forecast shifts. Once you’ve arrived at the cabin, you’ll want to be set. Take the walk slow, breathe it in, and enjoy it. It’s where the nature session really begins. Other things to note 🔥 Firewood + fire bans Firewood is $25 per bag (charged if opened). One bag is included at this cabin to help get the outdoor bath going. During Total Fire Ban days, the fire pit and outdoor bath can’t be used under any circumstances. This is strictly enforced. It’s your responsibility to check the fire ban status in your Field Guide and only light a fire when conditions allow. 🗑️ Rubbish Please take your rubbish with you on departure. If you’d prefer not to, we can remove it for an additional $30. This helps reduce impact on the land and keeps things manageable for our landowners. 🌿 Nature You’re in nature, so you may see bugs, wildlife, and experience the occasional noise from the surrounding land, including livestock, wind, or nearby farm activity. The landscape can shift with the seasons too, creeks may run dry, grass can be golden in summer, and conditions can feel a bit more raw than what you’re used to in the city. We take a lot of care to keep the cabin clean and comfortable, but being surrounded by nature means the occasional cobweb or curious bug is part of the experience. Registration details Exempt
