Vrankunge Mellangård

A typical charming Swedish red cottage in lovely surroundings next to Lake Åsnen (10 min walk). You have acces to a boat (4p) from may - september. 4 km from the house you can find an open bathing area with a gantry. The house is located very close to the National Park of Åsnen ("Åsnens Nationalpark"). The main house is fully equipped with 2 bedrooms that offers six beds. It is very quiet and peaceful here and you will see sheep, cows and horses graze near the house. The space This house is located in a very diverse landscape with forests, meadows and the lakes of Småland. In the summertime you will find sheep, cows and horses walk in the meadows close to the house. Many wild animals can be seen as well such as moose, eagles, deer and osprey. People are often astonished by the silence out here. Apart from the splendid nature around you, a boat is available a short walk away. This will give you an opportunity to explore the Lake Åsnen which is known for its rich birdlife. The house is situated within biking distance to the National Park of Åsnen. Småland is, as well, very known for the arts of handblown glass. Within an hour you can reach the “Kingdom of Crystal” where you can visit some of the most famous brands of glass such as Kosta and Boda. In Kosta you can go inside to the blowing room (“Hytta”) and watch when the glassworkers blow glass. The house offers six beds (with possibility to add an extra bed and/ or a cot). The house has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other one with two single beds and a bunk bed. The kitchen is fully equipped, you'll find a stove, fridge/freezer and micro wave. The bathroom has a shower, washing machine, toilet and basin. The house has a TV and free Wi-Fi. The house has a platform for outdoor dining, you can make a BBQ by the house. If you want to stay indoors a rainy day, you can make fire in the 3 fire places in the house and watch DVDs. For the kids there is some lego to play with and outdoors activities.
