Set in the heart of Currumbin Valley, this charming cottage is surrounded by lush rainforest and mountain views in every direction. Unwind in your private spa and sauna, relax by the fire pit overlooking the creek, or stretch out beneath the bamboo canopy listening to birdsong. The cottage is located approximately 50 metres from the main house, where we live, but it is positioned to ensure privacy. We are nearby if needed, otherwise you won’t see or hear us. All water on the property comes from a natural spring and is safe for drinking and showering. When in season, guests are welcome to enjoy fresh fruit grown on the property. Currumbin Creek borders the land, and the dramatic Cougal Mountains provide a breathtaking natural backdrop that changes with the light throughout the day. This is a place to slow down, unplug, and immerse yourself in nature. Guest access Guests are welcome to explore approximately one acre of beautiful natural surroundings. Wander among fruit trees, relax on the open lawn, or follow the sounds of running water down to the creek. Birdlife is abundant — kookaburras, black and white cockatoos, ducks, owls, and many other native species regularly visit. In warmer months, take a refreshing dip in the clear creek that runs past the property. Some guests love a cold plunge after yoga, breathwork, or a sauna session — yes, even in winter, when the water can be around 14°C. Just 2km away is a pristine National Park featuring Mount Cougal and the Cougal Cascades. The sealed rainforest trail (800m one way, 1.6km return) gently winds through ancient subtropical rainforest, creek beds, and historic sawmill ruins. This area forms part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia, one of the most significant ecosystems on Earth. For those feeling adventurous, nearby clear streams flowing from Springbrook offer even more opportunities to explore and immerse yourself in nature.
