Our one bedroom, one bath guest suite offers private accommodations in 600 square feet of living space. The suite is all on one level, with its own entrance, living/dining area, and space for simple food prep with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, and coffeemaker. You’ll enter through your own beautifully landscaped private patio. (Sonoma County TOT Certificate #4569N) The space We are located on a quiet country lane; our neighbors have vineyards and horse farms. If you want to enjoy a peaceful and private setting, while still being close to fine dining, shopping, and sightseeing, our location is ideal. There is plenty of off-street parking, including space to park an RV or camper. (Please Note: Sonoma County prohibits anyone living in your RV during your stay.) Sonoma State University, home to the world-class Green Music Center and Weill Concert Hall, is a 10-minute drive along picturesque Petaluma Hill Road. We’re conveniently located between Petaluma and Cotati; it’s an easy 3-mile drive from Hwy. 101 along scenic Old Redwood Highway, then just a half mile up the hill to our quiet neighborhood. The surrounding country roads are great for walking. The historic town of Penngrove, founded in the late 1800’s, is a 3-minute drive or a 30-minute walk. It’s home to a country market, coffee shops, cafés, an organic bakery, a pizza parlor, and pubs, including the Twin Oaks Roadhouse, which has local brews, live music nightly, and a great outdoor patio. Oliver’s Market in Cotati (a 5-minute drive) features local produce, wines, cheese, a deli and a bakery, as well as excellent freshly made take-out provisions for your day-trips to wineries, the Sonoma coast, and the redwoods. We’re about 3 miles (an easy Uber-ride!) from Petaluma’s Maker District, home to Lagunitas Brewery, 101 North Brewing Company, Hen House Brewing Company, and Griffo Distillery. Historic downtown Petaluma, just 10 minutes away, was established during the Gold Rush days and is still home to some of the most beautiful Victorian-era architecture north of San Francisco. Petaluma Blvd., prominently featured in the movie “American Graffiti” due to its small-town charm, is the heart of downtown with its renowned restaurants, wine bars, bakeries, antique shops, art galleries, and boutiques. Penngrove is the perfect central location for exploring all the North Bay Area has to offer, including Sonoma County’s world-class wine regions: we are in the heart of the Petaluma Gap appellation, 30 minutes from Healdsburg (Dry Creek, Russian River, and Alexander Valleys), and 25 minutes from the historic town of Sonoma (Carneros and Sonoma Valley.) Beautiful Napa Valley is only 40 minutes east. We’re close enough to San Francisco for easy day trips, just 45 minutes to the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s 30 minutes to the wild and scenic Sonoma Coast, and just south in Marin are the famous oyster farms on Tomales Bay, where you can enjoy freshly harvested oysters on your way to see the majestic redwoods in Muir Woods. Not only are we close to all of these destinations; every route takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. Guest access Your suite is fully self-contained with your own private entrance. The sleeping accommodations include a queen bed, and a queen sofa bed with a new memory foam mattress. There is a dining table, a food prep area with coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave, electric tea kettle, and toaster, as well as dishes, flatware, wine glasses, and basic utensils. If you need to stay connected during your getaway, we have high-speed Wi-Fi, and YouTubeTV. Other things to note Our living space is upstairs from your accommodations.
