The Cottage at Coyote Creek Organic Farm
The cottage sits in a secluded corner on the organic farm at Coyote Creek. The small house has a full kitchen, washer/dryer, a spacious shower and a sun room. The cottage has a king bed, a full bed, a twin bed. Our biggest compliment is that we offer easy access into Austin but that it's nice to stay outside of the city in a more secluded and private setting. The space The Cottage at Coyote Creek sits on a 90 acre working organic farm. We're home to of World's Best Eggs brand pasture raised organic eggs that we sell at Whole Foods Market and other retail grocers. We also run cattle, sheep and pigs that we feed organic and sell here at the farm office. You might meet Chaco our 16+ (retired) herder and the Big Tuna our livestock guardian dog. The Cottage has 2 rooms + bathroom and laundry room. The main room consists of a kitchen, living room, small dining area, living room and king size bed. The sun room has large windows on 3 sides and a full and a twin bed. The bathroom has a spacious shower, an antique vanity and an eco-friendly composting toilet. See more about the composting toilet below. We love sharing the beauty of Coyote Creek with guests. The composting toilet is made by a company called Separett. The toilet works much like a "regular" toilet with a few differences. First, both men and women sit for both toilet activities (solid & liquid). When one sits on the Separett toilet, a trap door automatically opens allowing solid waste to fall down into the collection bin while liquid waste goes forward into a separate (hence Separett) chamber. It's that simple. We understand that the composting toilet can be a bit intimidating for some, but don't worry, it's an eco friendly way to handle waste on an organic farm, and once you give it a try you'll see the differences from a regular" toilet are negligible. If you have any questions about the toilet, how it works or any other part of the farm, feel free to ask, we're happy to help. Guest access Guests are encouraged to take walks up the driveway to the entrance and back. You'll certainly see our pasture raised hens and depending on the time of year, our cattle, and sheep. Most of the fences are electric so be aware of that. Guests are not permitted in the pasture or the wooded area.
