Askham is a small village, 180km North of Upington, 70km from Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, 15km from Gemsbok Border Post to Botswana and 90km from Rietfontein Border Post to Namibia, which makes it the perfect stop over. The Khomani San (Bushman) can also be visited, where local arts and craft are available. Kalahari Sands Guesthouse offers spacious, private, fully equipped self catering units with air conditioning and dstv, good quality linen and tasteful decor. The space Our units are equipped for self catering but meals are available on request. A coffee shop with home made products can be found within walking distance, as well as a general dealer store, a co-op, a bottle store, 2 fuel stations and a medical clinic . Askham is a safe and peaceful village where you can relax and enjoy the Kalahari hospitality. A nice addition to our beautiful sunsets, is a sundowner on a red sand dune. Our units use to be old "Tuis huisies" from way back, used by farmers to stay over for church visits over week ends.
