We personally greet our guests. A car is strongly suggested for flexibility and ease of getting around. We are here for you! This two room Adults Only BnB, is part of our residence. Guests rooms are located at opposite ends of a secluded inner courtyard and each has a private keyed entrance. BnB guests enjoy an exclusive space but may share some facilities like the Infinity Pool and Sun Patio, with ourselves or other BnB guests. The Banana Cabana spa, Rain forest hiking trail, Seasonal fire pit and lower garden areas are common spaces for all guests staying in either the BnB or the Encantada Guesthouse located on a lower terrace of the property. Located within 1-2 km, you will find the unique and fascinatingly rural village of El Castillo. It lies nestled between the lake shore and the shadow of the imposing Arenal volcano. Lake Arenal, is an expansive 25 mile long, man-made lake, that serves primarily to produce Hydro-electric power for the country, but now offers some water sports, such as Fishing tours, Paddle Boating, Kayaking and Para Sailing. El Castillo, El Million and Fosforo, make up a trio of communities that have now become three in one. They are wholly dependent on tourism for their livelihoods and scattered among them you will find a variety of restaurants, activities and small markets. Public transportation to this area can be arranged, but can also be difficult and expensive. Therefore; we strongly recommend renting a 4x4 SUV for the duration of your visit to Costa Rica, not so much for traction, but for road clearance and the ability to dodge the moonscape of pot holes and rough roads that often dot this tiny nation. Only need a car for a couple days while in the Arenal area? Simply arrange for pick-up in La Fortuna. 1. On rare occasions, Beau & Angel, our two very sweet rescue dogs, may catch the scent of a jungle animal below the house and they will run down to the creek to bark at it. We will do all we can to calm them and we usually bring them inside after 7 pm. They are never allowed in the Guesthouse. 2. All Guests Swim at their Own Risk & Always be cautious and stay on the path, because there are sometimes snakes and Jungle critters 3. Please drink responsibly. No Glass is allowed in, on or near the Pool Patio 4. We watch TV in the evenings, if the sound bothers you please let us know! 5. It's a Jungle Out There! And there are all kinds of things to beware of and all manner of insects, Spiders and even Snakes. Best rule is Do Not Touch anything unfamiliar to you. Wear Bug Spray, Stay on Trails at all times. 6. Our chairs and massage tables are manufacturer rated to 250 lbs. 7. Smoking in Designated areas only.
