2 cozy CONNECTED lake houses in the woods, with panoramic windows are available for renting. Perfect for big or small families or a group of friends, travelling with a car. You can only rent 2 houses together, but anyway we charge you the price of 1! The space Enjoy the nature and peace with your loved ones in our lake houses, connected with a passage to one another. It is ideal if you want a vacation with your parents or friends where you stay right next to each other, yet in the privacy of your own cottage. The bedding situation is very flexible, as we have a lot of foldable sofas for 2 people. One of the houses has a traditional Finish sauna (free of charge, or course), making it perfect for summer or winter stays. The lake is amazingly beautiful, clean and pieceful, with forest all around, yet with easy access for swimming, we also provide you with a little rowing boat (again, free of charge. Motor boats are prohibited on Pitkajarve lake). There's also a little area to make barbeque very close to the lake. If you're into fishing, or collecting wild berries and mushrooms you will find plenty of it, providing its their season. We live about 10 km away, so you won't see us unless you ask :) Its a great place if you travel with a car, as the nearest shop is 5 km away and the nearest town Ruokolahti - 12 km away. Even though the place is very serene, you always have the option of driving to Imatra town, which is only a half hour drive, with its golf coarse, aqua park, spa, bowling etc. Or to Lappeenranta with its shopping, restaurants and sand sculptures fair in the summer. The region of Ruokolahti is very picturesque and great for photographs. Guest access 1st House: two-storied wooden cottage with a porch that has panoramic windows to the lake, wooden sauna and a common area on the ground floor with 2 foldable sofas, 2 small connected bedrooms on the upper floor (to get to the second bedroom you need to pass through the first bedroom, so it is not really independent). All together the cottage has 1 double bed, and 3 foldable sofas (each for 2 people). 2nd House: Wooden cottage with a kitchen/dining room that has a little fireplace, and great view to the forest. Has one bedroom and additional foldable sofa for 2 people, shower and WC. From April 2015 two houses are connected with a passage. We have all the basic kitchenware and the following electrical appliances: electric kettle, microwave oven, and dishwashing machine. Television, DVD player, hair dryer, washing machine are also at your disposal. Rowing boat and the use of sauna are also included in the price. There is NO wifi connection. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: towels and bedsheets are NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. Please bring your own sheets, or alternatively, they can be rented at 10 euros / person.
