This vacation home is perfect for 2 families or larger families who need additional space while on vacation. This property is located on Tracadie Big Island which is very quiet and peaceful. Our home is about a 25 minute drive from Antigonish & St. Francis Xavier University. Furnishings & appliances are modern, flooring is beautiful and the decor is contemporary and bright. With cathedral ceilings and windows facing the Habour, there is plenty of natural light, a cool breeze off the water and a beautiful view. There is a large deck facing the ocean. For the kids, there are lots of indoor and outdoor toys provided. Waterfront: Cottage is approximately 100ft from the shoreline. The beach is usually very calm with a gentle slope into the water and is warm in the summer months. A raft is provided for some swimming fun. Heating: Electric heat AC units: 2 on main floor Children allowed: Yes. Guests allowed: Yes. Rates vary based on number of guests. Amenities: 5 bedrooms 1 king bed on mainfloor, 1 double bed on main floor, 2 twin beds on main floor, 1 queen bed in basement bedroom, 2 queen beds in 2nd bedroom in basement. There is crib also if necessary. 3 bathrooms total: 2 on main floor ( 1 master bath & 1 full bathroom off the kitchen). 1 full bathroom also in the basement. Large, open-concept kitchen and dining area (island seating for 3 plus seating for 6 at kitchen table. All appliances - fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, etc., cutlery, dishes and bakeware are provided). BBQ also provided. Another large rec room in basement level. Ping pong table for use. Laundry facilities (washer, dryer). Vehicle is recommended. Driving across to the Island (beach) can be bumpy and rough in a small section so please drive with caution. Driving across to the Island (beach) can be bumpy and rough in a small section so please drive with caution ( may prefer a vehicle isn't too low to the ground). Grocery Store: The closet grocery store is a 25 minute drive away. We recommend you stopping in either Antigonish or Port Hawksberry (depending on what way you're coming from). Gas Station: There is a Petro Gas Station/Robin's Coffee Shop/General Store a 8 min drive from the cottage, located at the Monastery (Exit 37)turn off the highway.
