Beautiful Cottage at Kaldá Lyngholt 1

The cottage is on a small and quiet family run farm, 8 km to the town Egilsstaðir. These small houses are cozy and heated with geothermal energy, the cottages can be booked all year around. We provide linen, towels, tea and Coffee for no extra charge. The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around. The space The cottages offer all kitchen amenities, frying pan, kettle, everything you need to cook at home. As well as slippers, towels, shampoo, soap and a washing machine, 1 min walk from the cottage is a shared sauna and a hot tub, I only have 3 cabins has shared hot tub and the sauna to use from 10:00-22:30 , great to relax after a long day. Free wifi and a Apple tv flat screen TV. Guest access Each house has a private parking space and there are trees surrounding the cabins so you get privacy and feel comfortable. Every house has a patio sheltered from wind and rain, an excellent place to enjoy and relax the environment. A short two minutes walk to an amazing waterfall Close to the waterfall is the ruins from an old watermill, by the mill is a small river. Just 10 minutes away from Kaldá, you will find the great river Grímsá, it is a popular river for fishing salmon and trout. Its quite lovely to walk along the river. In the fall you can forage around the houses, blueberries, crowberries and mushrooms can be picked. In the spring, fall and winter the northern lights often dance in all glory, so close that you feel like you can reach them.
