This upstairs apartment is located on a working organic, urban farm in the rural town of Okanogan. It is conveniently on a paved road, near Hwy 20, but in a quiet and kid friendly neighborhood. The space This upstairs apartment is all yours during your stay. It is new construction, clean and fresh, with nothing on the walls and lots of natural light. It is warm and we provide blankets. In the summer you can open the windows and listen to the crickets. There is an air conditioner. This place is on a working organic farm set between houses with active kids. There is a commercial kitchen below the apartment so you will probably catch the aromas of artisan bread or sweet pop tarts baking, or farm fresh tomatoes roasting. While you will certainly enjoy quiet time you will also note the hustle and bustle of an industrious family and employees. Pots, pans, water kettle, French press, glasses and mugs, plates, silverware, etc. is there for you. In the photos you will see the stairs - it is not handicap accessible. Guest access Downtown Okanogan is in walking distance approximately 1/2 mile downhill. You can visit our own farmer-owned store, Okanogan Farmstand, a larger grocery store, a coffee shop, a growler-fill station, a sports bar with good burgers, Okanogan Valley Farmers Market on Saturdays, the Okanogan River boat launch, Salmon Creek, nearby swimming lakes and fishing or drive up to the Loup Loup Ski Hill for cross country and downhill. The Methow Valley is just over the Loup Loup Pass. We are approx 50 minutes from the Canadian border.
