The Wee Wooden Yurt at Caolas Gallery,

The Wee Wooden Yurt at Caolas Gallery is a green roofed, original wooden round house with picture windows giving an uninterrupted view of the sea across to the Isle of Scalpay and South East Harris. Features include a central dome roof window, a bath room, a kitchen, comfortable chairs and a wood burning stove, and of course a double bed. The property enjoys a southerly aspect with masses of natural light, is well insulated, warm and cosy The space The property is just 5 miles from the village and ferry port of Tarbert with shops, restaurants, Dr's surgery etc. There are many lovely walks in the area and the Isle of Scalpay with locally renowned seafood bistro, and walk to the lighthouse just across the bridge. The property is ideal for a longer stay exploring the rest of Harris or a night or two of unique living before boarding the ferry. The yurt is sited next to my Gallery and Tea Room, which is open during the week from 10.30am - 16:00 Guest access The Wee Wooden Yurt is all yours during your stay. There is a seating area with open views across the sea towards the South East coast of Harris should you wish to enjoy the outdoors. Other things to note wifi is available in the yurt but this is the Isle of Harris and signal isn't strong, it's usually good enough to browse/use messenger chats etc but you can't guarantee to stream music/film etc though sometimes it works well enough. Breakfast bits are provided there is a choice of cereals, milk and fresh fruit. Tea and coffee making facilities are also in the yurt.
