The 1840 Collins Estate took 60 men three full years to construct. The rental is a private, locked East Wing of the home. Fully refinished with modern comforts; bedding, mattresses, bathrooms, coffee bar and more. The home is centrally located near the Links at Union Vale(1 mile), Millbrook, Rhinebeck, Beacon, Poughkeepsie and colleges. Historic sites and festivals abound. Many great restaurants nearby due to proximity to Culinary. Perfect hotel efficiency style getaway cared for with pride. Guests have their own private locked apartment style space with a separate entrance and amenities, which include a large king sized bedroom, a bedroom with a queen and double bed, and living room with a pull out leather sofa with a double bed. Living room, mud room, coffee bar, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, TV’s, commercial grade Orbi WiFi internet, patio, porch and more. Completely renovated. There are two refinished full baths — one upstairs and one downstairs. From tin ceilings to wide-board floors and moulding the home is roomy, elegant and charming. There is an outdoor fire pit with seating for safe use of adults over 21 only. This is a seasonal feature from June to October. While the main part of the home is connected to the east wing, there is not access to the main home by anyone other than the guests who are renting the space as all connecting doors remain locked at all times. We only allow one guest rental at a time - so you will not be staying with others at the same time. The entire East Wing is all yours for the duration of your stay. This is an efficiency setup and includes a full sized refrigerator and freezer, microwave, toaster oven and coffee bar. There is not a full kitchen, hence the space does not have silverware, plates or a dining table with chairs. There is not an adequate place to do dishes (no kitchen sink) nor is their the ability to bring a BBQ. When you stay in a hotel you don’t need a kitchen especially given the quality of the food in the area. Picture the space as a very large hotel efficiency suite with private bedrooms, bathrooms, mudroom, living room common game room area, but without a kitchen. If you would like to bring paper plates and plasticware you’re more than welcome to do so, but we do not provide such dinnerware. Can sleep up to 8 guests, however it is most comfortable with 6 so this is typically what we rent it for. For or safety and insurance reasons we do not allow more than 8 in the home a time. The staircase does have high risers and may be steep for some that have difficulty navigating stairs. However, there is a railing but someone who is elderly or disabled will need assistance. Three TV’s are located in the space with one in the living room and one in each bedroom. We cannot allow pets or animals as we have a son with severe animal allergies and he is anaphylactic. The space shares air via HVAC and we have been advised by his doctor that this is not safe even if it’s a service animal. There is not a kitchen within this space, however you will not need it as Dutchess County is home to the Culinary Institute of America and offers the finest restaurants in the world and many are a short drive away. Uber eats and Door dash are also Available. There is a full refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven in the space along with a coffee bar. Your space is completely separate and private from ours with locked doors in between the two sections of the home. However, we do live in the main Manor house and we are always available to answer questions and assist our guests when possible. But we offer our guests complete privacy and do not enter their space unless requested to. For most guests we do not see nor interact with them as the spaces are separated like an apartment building. Links at Union Vale (1 mile), Millbrook, Rhinebeck, Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park, Beacon, Pawling, Dover, FDR, Vassar College, Walkway Over the Hudson, Dutchess County Fairgrounds, Sky Acres airport, and more. Car and Uber Walk the grounds and enjoy the private porch seating. There is central air and split unit air conditioning. Also, there is a refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven. For the safety of our guests, we do have security cameras on the outside grounds. Guests with under 5 reviews, a star rating less than four or last review will be asked to send an additional $500 security deposit through AirBnB. This is fully refundable at checkout should the space be left as it was found. Smoking of any kind is prohibited on property and strictly enforced with a $1,000 assessment incurred and immediately cancellation of the reservation and revocation of your stay.
