"A balcony in the forest" has been our family home since the 1950s, its natural environment is exceptional between the Fontaineblau forest 150 m away and the Seine below the property. We are working to make our walled garden an ecosystem. By adhering to the Fontainebleau Biosphere Eco-Actors Charter, we are committed to responsible management of water consumption and the preservation of biodiversity. The space The house was built in 1956, modernized in 2020, there are still some characteristic elements of this period in the kitchen that we wanted to keep. The part of the house dedicated to guests, with an area of 50 m², has its own entrance, 1 small kitchen with a breakfast area, 1 bathroom with walk-in shower, 1 toilet and 2 bedrooms, an "office room" with 1 bed for one person measuring 190 x 90 and a "double room" with 1 bed for 2 people measuring 190 x 140, each bed is provided with a cotton duvet. Linens, bath towels and sheets are provided. Guest access Guests have their own access from outside the house. After crossing the threshold of our guests' accommodation, a small warm and sunny kitchen gives access to a bright corridor that serves the two bedrooms, the bathroom (shower) and the toilet. You have access to the areas shared with the owners, namely the garden and the private terrace on the banks of the Seine to eat your meals or enjoy a moment of reading in the shade or in the sun. Other things to note Thomery is an ideal location for a tourist, sports, rest and even teleworking stay. The village is on the edge of the Fontainebleau forest with its 25,000 hectares. The historical heritage of the towns of Fontainebleau, Moret-sur-Loing, Barbizon and Milly-la-Forêt is world famous. In terms of sports: horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, cycling (the Scandibérique passes 200 m from our house) and of course "climbing". The climbing spots of the rocks of Fontainebleau make this massif a world-renowned. You can practice all these sports within a radius of 15 kilometers around Thomery.
