A Hidden Retreat in Nature – kutokuan

Kutokuan is an inn where people interact with nature, with the theme of change of scenery therapy. Change of scenery therapy is the practice of leaving one's familiar surroundings and placing oneself in a different environment to heal both mind and body. Kutokuan is a private retreat for adults, limited to one group, dedicated to rest and recovery. Spend a day healing your mind and body, facing yourself and your loved ones, in a private space in Gifu surrounded by nature, far from the hustle and bustle. We aim to be the kind of inn you remember when you are tired. The space The clear Itadori River (a Class A river) flows right in front of the inn, and in summer you can see a magical view of fireflies dancing. The surrounding area is dotted with spots where you can fully experience the seasonal nature, such as "Monet's Pond", "Kawaura Gorge", and "21st Century Forest", making it the perfect environment to get away from everyday life and free your mind and body. -------- ■ About the accommodation fee and additional guests ■ Price for 2 adults in 1 room Additional guests are 20,000 yen per person. Up to 2 additional guests can be added. * Children 13 years old or younger are not allowed to stay. ■ About the rooms and facilities ■ - Lounge - Kitchen Microwave, refrigerator, kettle, carbonation machine, IH, large and small frying pans / earthenware pot / double-handled pot / saucepan / bowl / various kitchen tools / cutting board / knife / plates / cutlery * We can lend you seasonings (soy sauce, olive oil, salt and pepper, sesame oil, sugar, etc.) according to your preferences. - Tatami mat bedroom Custom bedding for 2 guests (up to 2 additional guests), pajamas, air purifier/humidifier, hanger - Bathroom/washroom Aomori cypress bathtub, shower, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, bathrobe, bath towel, bath mat, hair dryer - Chill space - Toilet with washing machine - Parking space (2 vehicles) Guest access The entrance is accessed by a digital lock (PIN code). After check-in, staff will be in the office space in the same building until 7 pm, but after 7 pm, please enjoy the space completely privately. Other things to note ■Check IN/check out■ Check IN 3PM-7PM, please let me know beforehand if it will be after 7pm. Check out is 11am, late check out will be taken care of if the following guests are not available. 　 ■Animals and bugs■ The facility is located in a place surrounded by nature with more animals than humans, and it coexists with animals and insects.We're doing our best to keep you in mind. Also, on the mountain road to this facility, deer, monkeys, rabbits, etc. may pop out suddenly, so please be careful when driving. ■Convenience stores and supermarkets■ There is no convenience store or supermarket nearby.The nearest convenience store/supermarket takes about 40 minutes one way.On the way to our facility, there are many roadside stations selling rich crops in Gifu, so please stop by. ■Other■ Don't use it for banquets or party events. In addition, it is strictly forbidden to enter anyone other than the person who booked the accommodation. We keep Akita dogs in a separate building on the same property as our facility.
