WELCOME Every stay begins with The Fika Welcome — fresh-baked goods and a bag of locally roasted coffee beans waiting when you arrive. The espresso machine is loaded and ready. The hot tub is on. BEDROOMS -Primary: King bed, en suite bathroom with soaking tub and rainfall shower, walk-in closet, sound machine, USB charging station, blackout curtains -Bedroom 2: Queen bed, sound machine, USB charging station, blackout curtains, full bath across the hall -Bedroom 3: Queen bed, large closet, sound machine, USB charging station, blackout curtains, full bath down the hall -Loft: Twin daybed — perfect for kids or a seventh guest, sound machine, USB charging station, blackout curtains, full bath down the hall. Open loft, no private entry. BATHROOMS 3 full baths. Primary en suite features a deep soaking tub and rainfall shower. Two additional shower/tub combos. Every bathroom stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. Hairdryers in all bathrooms. KITCHEN A fully stocked chef's kitchen with a high-end range and oven, automatic espresso machine, drip, Keurig, French press, and pourover. To-go cups and sleeves for the road. Tea kettle and tea. Blender, toaster. Full cookware, sharp knives, baking sheets, mixing bowls, Tupperware, placemats, and plenty of dishes, flatware, and glasses. DINING Dining table seats 8. Kitchen island seats 2 more. Outdoor dining table seats 8 — with mountain views. UPSTAIRS LIVING ROOM Oversized L-shaped sectional (seats 6), two armchairs, gas fireplace, 70" smart TV, and floor-to-ceiling views of Mt. Blue Sky. DOWNSTAIRS GAME ROOM A dedicated space for fun. L-shaped sectional, 70" smart TV, pool table, foosball table, dartboard, and board games. OUTDOOR DECK Gas grill, dining table for 8, fire table with full propane tank, two lounge chairs with a side table and two blankets — perfect for watching the sunrise, the sunset, or just sitting in the views that never get old. CONCIERGE ADD-ONS Make the trip even easier — available at booking or by request: Grocery stocking via delivery (no trip to the store) Birthday or bachelorette light decorations S'mores kits Charcuterie board on arrival THE DETAILS THAT MATTER The road to the house is maintained by Gilpin County and the driveway is plowed by a private contractor after every significant snowfall. AWD or 4WD is recommended October through May. The hot tub is serviced every Wednesday — plan accordingly if you're booking a midweek arrival. Guest access PARKING - Two parking spaces in front of the garage - Two additional parking spaces at the turn in the driveway Other things to note - Our home is located 2 miles up the road from Black Hawk proper and the casinos. Richman Rd becomes Dory Hill Rd. As you continue up Dory Hill Rd., you'll intersect with Highway 46 AKA Golden Gate Canyon Rd. Turn right down this road and you'll soon find our favorite fishing spot, Kriley Pond, and the Blue Grouse trail above it. The visitor center for Golden Gate Canyon State Park is just a little further down the road. There are loads of great hiking and mountain bike trails for all interest and ability levels there. Is there a grocery store nearby? - Not a 'true' grocery store. Those are found in Golden and Evergreen (each a 30 minute drive from the house). - There are three stores very close by that have the essentials (food, coffee, batteries, bug spray, etc.). They are: 1) Base Camp (at the intersection of Dory Hill Rd. and Golden Gate Canyon Rd. 2) Taggerts (on Highway 119 by the Transfer Station) 3) Peak to Peak Market (on Highway 119 in Black Hawk and next to the Post Office and Black Hawk Bean & Cream)
